Crazy For Sure

Let me start with this...I am a rookie viewer of hockey...got wrapped up in the Nashville Predators run at the title...the emotion that city gave their team, and quite frankly, themselves was exemplary...many peops just like me got caught up in it...especially from that exploding area...something like 1,000 people a week relocate there...

The game...number 6...was intense from the get go...super exciting and the crowd was into it...the defenses were solid...both sides...went scoreless forever...and...then the Preds scored!...wait...not...as the ref had screwed up and blew the play dead too soon...'he thought that the Pitt goalie had the puck'...obviously, he couldn't see it...as the puck went thru the net...changed the game completely...

Pitt went on to score in the final couple of minutes of the game...got one more as the goalie was pulled to give the Preds a last gasp chance at tying...and there you go...the Pitt Penguins repeat...a terrific effort by Nashville...and yet...a nasty taste in my mouth on how this game is officiated...but...I am a rookie and will hold off judgment...

A Q...in a similar game, soccer...does the team behind ever pull their goalie?...I don't remember seeing that...

The rocked Pads...gave up 4 in the top of the 1st and it was OVER!...yet again...dang, SD is in a complete meltdown...I keep hearing 'keep the faith'...man, it's hard...the GM of this sinking ship is atrocious...how else can you describe the talent on the field?...I do think the field mgr Green is doing whatever he can...today is the 'draft'...the Padres have the 3rd pick...any of you out there have doubts as to whom we get?...by this 'brain trust'...trust?...c'mon...

The golf world...the Thai gal won in a playoff...Ariya Jutanugarn is absolutely dominating...and the guys in Memphis...Daniel Berger won in back to back form...actually survived I guess...good on him...is it just me, or are all these courses way tuff?...

The Tony Awards...you catch any of this?...House of Cards dude was the host...I have no idea who most of the winners are and, for that matter, most of the nominees...talk about out of my genre...but, I did enjoy some of the numbers...see, I do have some couth...is that a word?...

News out of DC?...what can it possibly be this fine am?...that Melania and Baron are moving into the White House from NYC...the Democrats are trying to block this, too...

Smut time...and a goody...the Bachelor in Paradise has shut down it's filming...seems that a couple got too raunchy too soon...guess who was one of 'em?...that Corrine girl...ha ha ha ha....from the last Bachelor Show....

Yup, we went to the super...got some german chocolate cake mix...made it...and...it was grrreeaatt...to celebrate the day...

The song for the day?...Movin' Out by Billy Joel...er, shouldn't that be moving in?...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
