A Wray Of Hope

Throughout  the onslaught of negative press on Prez T, there is a Wray of Hope...actually, it is the naming of the new FBI Director...Christopher Wray...top flight lawyer, that has been on many influential cases...served in the Bush (W) system of lawyers...and by all the quick looks by the Horse...appears to be a very good hire for the position...a ray of hope, indeed...

News out of Forbes Mag...snarky stuff...that Prez T's son, Erik, skimmed hundreds of thousands of $ for the use in the president campaign...Erik Trump Foundation...donations were to be for the St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital...like for cancer research...also, used the money for fund raising events at the Trump Golf Course in DC...BTW, the list is quite large...hmmm...all this allegedly...if true...

There you go, one pos and one neg...and...all eyes will be on the fired FBI guy, James Comey...tomorrow...as he is testifying in front of Congress...think that someone won't be squirming a bit?...figure a very quick array of tweets to follow...just a hunch...

Just a murmur of info on another scum attack...this time in...Iran...what?...we, the people, of the world...must unite...to eradicate...these devils...what else would you call them?...BREAKING...there were two attacks and 12 people have been reported to be killed...more to come...

Like I feared... a shellacking in 'Zona...10-2...the DBacks bats awakened...ours did not...the Padres...stay patient my friend...we are playing our youngins...it is the way of the future...keep repeating that over and over and...well, you get the picture...

A Cincy Red hit a whopping 4 home runs in ONE GAME!...Scooter Gennett...really...brings back fond memories of my fav player when I was a but a lad...Rocco (Rocky) Colavito...did the same feat on June 10, 1959...against the Baltimore Orioles...he was the REAL clean up hitter for the Cleveland Indians...BTW, that team had Tito Francona, Minnie Minoso, and the legendary Billie Martin in their lineup that day...and Minoso and Martin also homered...what a game and what a memory!...

Staying in Cleveland...the NBA Playoffs have switched to there...as the Cavs are really in a must win to survive mode...kind of think they will....somehow...start early...and hope that the long range shooting Warriors are off...that's the ticket...I remember (yes again), living back in Orygun...a TV Sports dude...started out in Portland, transferred to Cleveland...and then came back...and then LAMBASTED that Ohio town...as a terrible sports city...hmmm, what was his name?...wait for it...Ed Whelan...yes...that guy...KOIN...

More bad stuff out of the retail world...Macy's stock prices are falling badly...Sears is closing more stores....you know it's odd...whenever we go to the malls, they are jammed...are the peops there and NOT buying?...of course, nothing compares to when you go to a Costco...

Finally, I am playing in a T out at the club...a nooner...FORE!, left and right...hope my playing partners are patient...ha ha...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
