Thursday Tidbits

Impending doom...is this what it's like for the Pads?...knowing that soon...sooner, rather than later...they will self destruct...and lose another...hey, they have some nice parts...some youth, a bonafide star in Wil Myers, an aggressive Mgr...but are woefully straddled with an inferior pitching staff...duh, the key to the game of beisbol...and yes...the closer had yet another bad outing...lost in the 9th...ouch...and the hits keep right a coming...the GM Preller is the reason...sorry, but it's true...OK, I have said this enough...

Plain and simple...if the Cleveland Cavs play like they did last night, NO ONE in the league can beat them...demolished the over-rated Celtics...LeBron is the best in the biz...and if the rest of their parts keep it going...it's over, NBA...Kevin Love from in and out...Kylie whenever he wants can score...and...they dominate the inside...the only possible way for them to get beat...speed...

The NBA Draft...so much speculation on UCLA's product, Ball...when and where he is going to go...however, his dad, is a real piece of work...which may stymy the chances of his kid...case in point...who is getting the press time?...the dad...was on the Colin Cowherd Show...and just set back men/women equality 50 years or so...he was a total embarrassment...look for the segment and you will see what I mean...

In the past year, the FOX News Channel has taken quite a hit...this am it was released that their past leader, Roger Ailes...had died...filled with accusations and alleged sexual innuendos...he resigned in this time zone...as other personalities fled the Channel, too...for a myriad of reasons...really, really odd...

The Comey Conundrum...hard not to follow along to what Congress is doing...it's everywhere!...the Prez will get grilled...it will not go away...and the bloody rumors...keep right on a coming...doesn't look good, does it?...I suppose it depends on what side of the fence you are on...and...it sure seems like there are more on the opposite side of the Prez...Demos and Repubs...every day a new day...it just gets deeper...Prez T calls it a 'witch hunt'...maybe so...maybe so...

Let's talk downtown San Diego...yes, another new high rise is going up...built by the mega-builder Bosa...which we are interested in...fact is, there are many of these in the city...walkability is huge...restaurants, bars, sporting events...one thing lacking is enough super markets...however, the price of buying a condo here is staggering...it's the weather, kids...people want this...and are willing to pay for it...20 years ago, or so...the main drag in the GQ was filled with street people...homeless...they are still here, but now are nesting 15 or so blocks east...a problem...in fact, in all big cities, it is a problem...

Anyway, the life of condo living is like this...er, the reason for liking it...no more lawn cutting, taking care of the roof, power washing the driveway and sidewalks...it's all taken care of...you do pay for it...the HOA's...but you have 24 hour security...which is a huge plus...you walk out your door to a plethora of places to eat and drink...5 minutes to the airport...15 to the beach...the list goes on...and it's always 70*, give or take a few degrees...OK, you want your house to store all your things...I get it...fine...

I don't get this...when the dudes win a T in the PGA...their winning amount is well over a Million Bucks...where does this money come from?...the sponsors?...they have enough extra cash to throw out this way?...well...like the NFL, NBA, and MLB...it's mostly from the TV market...thank you Tiger Woods...and LeBron...and Steph...and Tom Brady...and...who is next?...still...something seems ajar...

The planning is done...I'll be away from my desk for a few days...time to take in the south's finest city...Nashville...hey, ya'll have a great weekend, you hear?...
