The Derby

How the heck are YOU doing?...it's the weekend, and YOU have to be doing great...start the day off right, with a little Horse, some pancakes, eggs, bacon and a cup of french roast...there YOU go, the perfect beginning...YOU still get a newspaper at your door?...or, are YOU one of many that get their news via the web net?...hmmm, or one of them who wait for the pixels to inform YOU...maybe, YOU depend on the Horse for your latest and greatest...

Today is the Derby...the Kentucky Derby...it is like the Masters in the PGA...the, make that, THE event to win...20 hosses entered...run on the main track, not the turf...er, the grass...but on dirt...I have spent 3 days handicapping the race...yes, it's true...included is if there is inclimate weather...there is a 60% chance of precipitation...in some areas that is a probable, not here in SD...but in Kentucky, I think so...so I have checked out which ones appear to like to run in the slop...

Has to be terrible to have that mud thrown all over you, if you are one of the trailing ones...the jockeys have special goggles, that are like 2 or 3 deep, that they keep pushing up on their heads...it's not like they have window washers...but kinda...not so for the animal that is actually running...hmmm, wonder if there is an advantage for the horse that has but one working eye?...the more I think about that, that was a stupid query...

So who do I have as the victor?...depends on the weather, ha ha...the official fudge factor...if rainy, Gormley with Victor Espinoza aboard...if fair skies, Irish War Cry with Rajiv Maragh riding, er guiding...there YOU go...

Other stuff...

Close your eyes...if you are a Padre fan...you are officially being tested now...as the home team got whupped by the Bums...close for awhile...threw away chances early to pile up some runs...unfortunately a recurring item...and then got bombed later on...now, these are extreme baby steps...

NBA...the Spurs have awakened...the Beard has fallen off the charts...and SA is rolling again...the Cavs in a laugher over the entire country of Canada...tonight the Warriors will be hard pressed to beat the Jazz in Utah...stay away from the bet on this one...and the Celts have their hands full with DC...don't we all?...

The FCC is looking into the CBS Late Show's Stephen Colbert...how hard do they have to look?...his rant is on, every night...should take about 5 minutes to censure the bloke...if they are gonna do it, right?...such a comedian...not...

Aunt Jemima frozen wassies and pancakes have been recalled...what?...how do they even keep that brand a going, anyway?...that whole thing is kind of disgusting...

Does the French Election mirror what just went on in the US or what?...leaked emails, alleged voter fraud, illegal foreign tapping...on and on...is this the new norm?...

I actually got out to practice me golf...more to see if I could swing the club, without pain...success!...so I can get back to the links next week...fore!...

Country music...Loretta Lynn is hospitalized...dang...and the release of the week, music wise, is Chris Stapleton's...you like his sound?...not me...boring...but, there are those out there, that like the old time country twang to it...less than 2 weeks and we are in the heart of the country land...really excited!...

Warren Buffett...made a mere $16 billion over the past year....the rich get richer...right?...what the heck?...what would you do with that type of moolah?...couldn't he just buy North Korea?...that would stifle that situation in a hurry...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
