Nashville Newsy

Hey ya'll!...we are back...non stop boogieing in the south...Nashville...to say that this is the hub for country sanging, is an understatement...I call it the "Vegas of the South"...this is where peops from all over go...and party down, Garth...you name it, they were there from there...England, New England, Switzerland, Australia, and on and on...really...

We had a cool session with a couple from Switzerland...watching an unknown lassie, named Cassie, in a saloon...who was the best singer of all that we heard...mesmerizing, and big time talented...just a matter of time for her....yup, that good...her best song, probably "At Last"...hey, there are talented people up and down LowBroad...and we spent 3 days a listening...if you haven't traveled there yet, get it on...now...

One night was a concert of Little Big Town...just simply terrific...maybe you know them cause of 'Pontoon'...or 'Day Drinking'...or for sure of 'Girl Crush'...many hits to choose from, and they sang 'em all...at the old Ryman Theater...a few blocks away from where we stayed...did not realize how talented the two guys were...

I have said this over and over...but the people from the South are just plain, nice people...we ventured out of the downtown area and went for a lunch in Germantown...wanted some real fried chicken...happened on a place called "Monell's"...it turned out to be a family style eatery...12 to a table...and they just keep bringing the food out...I must say, it was big time ethnic...and way fun...the best chicken I have ever had...

Nashville is the leading growth city in the US...100 people a day, move there...took a secondary route out to Opryland...and witnessed the country side...so much greenery...mini plantations...and I guess I am thinking mighty affordable...well, in comparison to NYC and SD...does put thoughts into me mini brain...also, ventured to the new upscale part of the city, 'The Gulch'...high rise condos, exactly like what we live in...for about $300,000 less...hmmm....

This was where the Horse went down...I had these new shoes that were soft, yet wobbly...not enough stability in the soles...and down I tumbled...like an old man...as I slipped on a hidden step...I was lucky...as I hit the ground, using my hands to cushion the blow...actually, the shoulder is what is a hurting...a lesser athlete would have just laid there...to borrow, LGahr's terminology...it could have been a lot worse...

Other...

The scum of the world struck again...in the UK hit at a concert...these people have no sole, or shame...their plight is to kill innocents...they have no backbone...no courage to step up and fight the ones who could fight back....there is no reason on earth for them to be on this planet...just awful human beings...awful...I wish the World would unite on the eradication...of them...

Less other...but what I write about...Sports...

No bigger item in Nashville than the NHL...the Predators...'Smashville'...who won the semis and now move on to the Stanley Cup...the first time ever for them, and their city...there is a buzz all over town...everyone wears the yellow...way cool...

NBA...the Warriors finished the sweep of the Spurs...who were without Kawhi...even with the brilliance of Pop...they were no match...geez, GS was without their HC Kerr...call that an even steven loss of talent?...curious, was the way the Cavs played at home versus the Celts...lost to a team, that was without their best player, Thomas...just weird....go figure...still, Cleve is up 2-1 and should win...easily...should...

Speaking of odd...the mighty Pads...trotted out their over-matched Weaver kid again...didn't make it out of the 1st inning...gave up 6...hey, can't you dudes figure this out?...so, they decided to put him on the 10 day DL...give me a break...saying he has a hurt hip...release him...father time has arrived for the bloke...time for all to move on...duh...

Finally...

As Prez T travels abroad...the Congressional Dudes are looking him over, here...trying to find enough stuff to get him impeached...turn on the pixels, as it is on, kids...

The song for the day?...'Power To The People', by John Lennon...
