FRIENDS

A staple...something that you watch all the time...and...you probably recognize every episode...the pixels conveniently air them when, you are off work...or dinner time...I can think of many in the past...MASH, Cheers, Happy Days, Seinfeld...and others...but how about this one...FRIENDS...showed it's last 'good bye' version...get this...13 years ago today!...thirteen?...my how time passes...we STILL watch it...it's a comfy 30 minutes, don't you think?...

The House...of Reps...well now, the Repubs got their act together and passed the anti-Obamamcare bill...hey, it was close...the conservatives celebrated...the Demos continue to lick their wounds from the Clinton mess...the Horse keeps gathering info on it...appears to moi that the insurance companies win out...if this plan is the one...it's back to the free enterprise system...hmmm...on to the Senate to see what they think...it's not a done deal, kids...BTW, it sure looks like the heir apparent to the Repub throne is Paul Ryan...

North Korea is accusing the USA and South Korea of an attempt on the life of their foo leader...I gots to think that there are a number of North Koreans that would be part of that, too...how do you spell c-o-u-p?...

NBA Playoffs...the deeper it gets, the more testy the players get...ah ha...witness the Washington/Boston tiff...geez, that city of Bean Town is in the fights in beisbol, too...anyway, a brutal run in...as Wash won game 3 in a rout...what?...a very fishy game...and in the west...Golden St handled the Jazz...however, as this series heads to Utah for it's game 3...do not bet against the home team...does the thought ever cross your mind, that these games just may be orchestrated?...

Pads...got beat in OT to the Rockies...lost the series...with many, many chances...and no one stepped up and got the winning hit...too reminiscent of teams in the past...boo...and to make matters worse...in comes to town, them bloody Bums of LaLa Land...who fill up Petco with their Dodger Blue...peops around here lurve them more than their own Padres...it's true...on D, our boys should wear helmets...

The Derby...ah yes...HDCP Andy gave me the run down for the day...Mint Julips to start it off...way cool...I have been studying the form...lawdy, kids...the race itself is so wide open...I have to stay away from listening to the 'experts'...they are almost always wrong...listen, you can make a case for 18 of the 20 entered...really...

The new Bosa Building had it's first realtors unveiling...in case you don't know, Little Italy in San Diego...to say we are interested is a true statement...we are meeting with them next week, to see what we could get at our price point...first impressions are...smaller deck...better view...new building...higher HOA...more sq ft...we"ll see...

Duh...I just noticed that it is May 5th...like Cinco De Mayo...what the heck?...seems to me, that some good Tex/Mex food just has to be on the menu this eve...make it or go out, that is the Q...

We've been down here for like 11 years...something like that...the one thing we miss the most...is our friends...from up north...the song for the day...by the Beach Boys...'Friends'...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
