Wake Up!

Hey, you are losing valuable daylight hours!...get up and get going...well, not until you read what the Horse has to tell ya...you made it...it is Saturday...a cup of Joe...maybe some wassies or pancakes...or, for some of you, yogurt...eggs?...egg whites?...fake eggs?...cereal?...wait, do people eat cereal anymore?...oatmeal?...fake oatmeal?...well, get what YOU want, it's YOUR day...

The Padres won!...let me state that again for you non-believers...the Padres won!...home opener...and the locals did not disappoint...key hits by Solarte and there you go...BTW, the closer Maurer, will be fine...in a skimpy set of pitchers...sorry, but true...it's a long season, kids...

The aftermath of the tomahawk strikes in Syria...apparently, the Assad people knew it was coming...and many were saying that this was more show than reality...BS!...you get them bombs hitting you, it is NOT a show...the am report has more attacks hitting the region today...are you OK with this?...Prez T will not back down from that dictator...have you noticed how quiet Israel is during all of this?...hmmm...

This just out...the Syrian jets have taken off from the airport that we just hit...to attack their own people again...they just don't get it, do they...

Mom and Pop stores...closing...all over...as the big stores swallow 'em up...one such is a video store out in Kensington...just a few blocks away from where we were about to buy...remember that house?...anyway, we went there yesterday and got like 8 flicks...one being all of the Peter Sellers 'Pink Panther' movies...we did drive by the house...gosh, it is way cool...did we make a mistake?...terrific neighborhood...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
