The REST of the Story

The Horse is up early...it's a R&R day to get ready for the SB trip...however, did get out to play at golf yesterday with the boys...who humiliated me yet again...dang this left calf is lingering...there you go, my excuse for the time being...but, true...

Speaking of R&R, that's exactly what the FOX News star, Bill O'Reilly , says he is gonna do, too....wow...he has been tagged with an abuse charge...some may say, 'powerful people'...maybe he's taking time to write another book...he does write them?...I amused myself...remember the book tour of the KFam kids last year, promoting the book THEY wrote?...didn't last long...

Rex Tillerman, our Sec of St...was in Moscow...and got an earful from the Russians...reportedly...was told to not bomb Syria again...is this one of them or else things?...this is all so confusing to moi...I don't understand diplomacy so much...especially now...

Which leads me to North Korea...apparently...we are in agreement with the Chinese about that radical NK...that has to be good, right?...however, China tell us that we need to go thru them for the final solution...where did you hear that term before?...like I said yesterday, we are in a tough world right now...

The rest of the story...the United Airline flak...where they drug off the passenger...well...it seems they had to put on a UA personnel, in lieu of a paid person...a 'guaranteed seat' holder...the inference was that the dragged bloke was a discount tix, and they lose their spot if the UA employee needs it...call it perks, I guess...could happen to you or I...is something wrong here?...you tell me...

The silly season...the end of the regular one in the NBA...that some teams tank the last set of games...to get a better shot at the draft picks for next year...where some teams rest their stars for the playoffs...shoot, it's been happening for over a month...and...last night, the Marc Cuban's Mavs, dressed up the recently retired QB of the Cowboys...Tony Romo...to 'honor' him...and were trying to get him in the game...the NBA Brass told them an emphatic NO!...can't believe it stopped Cuban...

Staying silly...the NBA draft...where there is a number of ping pong balls put in a hamper...the numbers are dependent on the place they finish in the league...BUT...they don't do it live...for the public to see...smells fishy to me...'believe us'...right...

And...have you seen the numbers of collegiates that have declared themselves for the draft?...humongous...here's the deal, if you (the player) don't hire an agent, and DON'T get drafted...you can return to college...if not graduated...the NBA only has two rounds...hmmm...

I ponder this...every year the golf club companies put out new lines of clubs...charge ridiculous prices for 'em...what can they do to improve what's there?...I don't get it...change the metal used?...they want us to upgrade, but is that really what we are doing?...

Sean Spicer...the dude who has to talk to the press on behalf of Prez T...has diplomacy issues, don't you think?...he is one to 'not ad-lib'...seems like almost every day he blurts out something that riles up the press...Prez T, "listen Sean, either clean up your act, or you're FIRED"...just a guess...maybe SNL has it right, just hire Melissa McCarthy and get over it...

Where has Kellyanne Conway gone?...with all the coverage of the cabinet...it's odd that she isn't even mentioned...is she, too, on R&R?...oh well, I'm sure the Demos know...

OK, this kind of figures...the, make that, THE...Oral Roberts University...recently fired their long time hoops coach...and he didn't go too quietly...told the pundits that he was given a mandate to not recruit tattooed players...did he have them strip down?...what the heck...he was the guys coach...ha ha...

Can't leave you without a tale about our Padres...took a loss at Colorado...evening the series at 1 up, or down...whatever...we gave up 3 dingers in a 3-2 boo boo...and...our young star catcher, Austin Hedges, finished the game off with a K...as he is yet to get one hit thus far...what?...batting .000...the watch is on...maybe today?...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
