The Padres

Hey ya"ll...a short one today, as we have a ridiculous tee time at 7:37...just barely sunup...which means I leave here at 6:37...egads...

The Padres went into Colorado and got game number 1...just wondering, when is the last time we have won the first game of ANY series, TWICE in a row?...used pretty much the entire pitching staff...as the scheduled starter went on the DL...and...our All Star, Wil Myers, acted like one...hit for the cycle...only the 2nd Pad in history to do so...way cool...

PDX did get slot number 8...this is good...they play the Warriors...this is not so good...NBA West...

News out of SDSU...the legendary hoops coach, Steve Fisher, resigned...he has had a coach in waiting on staff to take over...much like what the Duckees have done in the past in football...ah hem, not this last time around, however...

San Bernardino...think they haven't had enough drama?...now a school shooting...wasn't that long ago they had the terrorist shooting there...and the same police chief on the TV screen...having to inform the country about the tragedy...

We sent a ship into the Korean seas...and North Korea is taking offense...what a world we have going...

Hmmm...the KFam has another spinoff series...the youngest one...Kylie...life of...they keep throwing it and seeing if it sticks...

Taped a TV oldie...the Tonight Show...Johnny Carson...aired in 1976...he had on Frank Sinatra...however, there was a walk on...Don Rickles...who absolutely stole the show...we were belly laughing....also on, was a very young, Olivia Newton John...terrific find...

You see the video clip of the dude who got drug off an airplane?...over booking...he had to give up his seat or else...he got the or else...I have no idea why it happened...what?...

Help me out on this...our Sec of St Rex Tillerson is in Moscow...fresh off of a bombing of their buddy, Syria...what am I missing?...what on earth could we be talking about?...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
