Hey ya"ll, it's National Scrabble Day!...wait a minute, I bet a bunch of you chaps and lassies have no idea what I'm talking about...it's a board, er, bored, game...that people did, er do, when they are gathering for a fun, social evening...it was the THING a bit back...the precursor to the ones of this generation, like Trivial Pursuit, Balderdash, and Pin the Tail...I have fun memories of playing Scrabble...my best was that my mom always accused moi of cheating...winner!...or loser...ha ha...

Talk about the former...how about them Pads!...break 'em up...won their 2nd series of the new season...in Colorado...6-0...this tidbit from the win...in the 9th when most managers would trot out a little used MLB pitcher to finish off the game...and what usually happens, is that he would give up a couple of runs, make the game too close...and THEN the mgr would bring in the CLOSER...not our guy, Andy Green....he saw the dude walk the first two Rockies he faced and couldn't get out to the mound fast enough to replace him with our closer...and preserve the shutout and the WIN!...99% of the MLB managers would not have done that...KUDOS!...and off to Atlanta we go...

The NBA regular seasons is thankfully over...hmmm, you could have saved a lot of money, by just penciling in the playoff teams at the beginning of the year...very little surprises...probably the biggest was the Boston Celtics, who overtook the Cavs as the number one seed in the east...other than that, none...and now...the very, long post season takes off on Saturday...hmmm...you could probably pencil in the final two...also...and save more money...but what fun would that be?...

Unbelievable story out of NYC...where the first female Muslim Judge was found floating in the Hudson River...dead...fully clothed...what is the inference by the releases of the police there?...sounds like what you see in the movies, a mob hit...do not know what the deal is, but fear some sinister act happened...maybe not...stay tuned to this one...

Can you figure out what the jargon is from our Sec of St Tillerson?...we are at our lowest point of connections to Russia...what?...surely you jest...the Cuba Blockade had to be the lowest...maybe not...I have used this before, but call me confused...

The United Airline flak has gotten more bizarre...as that airline company has now issued money back to all the passengers on the 'dragged off' flight...here, take this cash and shut up...just go away...fuggit about it...ah hem, what decade are we in?...and what country?...

Let's lighten the mood a bit...hey you PNWers, did you know that the OSU Beavers are number one...1...in the latest USA Today College Baseball Poll?...what?...of course you did...it was news to me way down here tho...and good luck the rest of the way...I dig all the pos stuff from that state...Ducks, Beavs, or Blazers...it's all good...oh yea, sorry JB, the Wolves, too...

A name from the past has been on fire in Oahu...the LPGA...Paula Creamer...was leading as the broadcast broke away last night...rain...what?...it rains there?...that's Hawaii, for you who are geographically challenged...

We just got some Lady Antebellum tix...they are gonna be out at the Sleep Train Amphitheater in Chula Vista in June...why do these companies buy the rights to their name on all these venues?...is it a write off?...imagine if Viagra bought out the name to our high rise...well, you can do the naming of this 35 story structure with that company....ha ha...BTW, the seats for Lady A are great!...

Well now....we get to see the kids...take Sammi, too...teeth cleaning...golf...food...drinks...house or condo hunting...what could be better?...5 stars...

I leave you with these...and they are doozies...love this guy's peculiar voice...'On The Road Again' or 'Goin' Up The Country' by Canned Heat...you will be humming these all day!!!!

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
