Monday Decaf

No better finish to the Masters than this one...as the final pairing was on their game...Justin Rose and Sergio Garcia...who took turns taking the lead...and, of course, it went OT...SERGIO got his first major...ever...have to admit, I liked it...and there is no more gracious loser than Justin...they both were hitting great shots...

Unfortunately, the great American hope duo of Rickie and Jordan...fizzled...here's my take...when one of 'em tanks (Spieth) the other one gets dragged down...the case yesterday...too bad, as Fowler started fine...but Spieth was terrible...and Rickie then wobbled about...

However, you can't take away the efforts of the top two...they were simply fantastic and played superbly...terrific show...and the drama was the best...Ole...

For all the hullabaloo of the Demos in their attempt to delay the coronation of the new Supreme Court Justice, Neil Gorsuch, it would appear to me that it was a complete waste of time...and...it's already OLD news...odd how this works...the next complaint?...

This out of Chicago this am...a judge was shot to death...man, is that city a scary place or what?...no more info at this time...Cook County...

Egypt is declaring that they are in a state of emergency...man, I have to think it was inevitable...talk about turmoil...

Am I a bearer of bad news, or what?...don't mean to be...but it is what it is...

Marsh made a list of all the concerts we have been to...like over 40 years...the list of different performers is 104!...and that's not counting seeing some of them over and over...ha ha, like the Beach Boys...who never get old to us...

Last night was the 60's Peter Noone, of Herman's Hermits...he was fun...and sounded like he did back when he was in his teens...really...a showman...did some covers of other Brit songs from back when....a jewel, was that they gave a song to the Yardbirds...that was a smash...and they wish they would have done it themselves...'For Your Love'...remember it?...in two weeks we have David Crosby...out at Humphreys...

The Pads gave it a go yesterday...could not pull off the W...but did make it interesting...had runners on in the 9th...got beat 5-3...to them Giants...and now head up north to Colorado and take on the former Mgr Buddy Black's Rockies...long shot for us...again...

DWTS...not so hot a season...says me...and there is a lot of commotion that Heather Morris is an unfair participant...like a ringer...she is the Glee gal...I dunno...seems to me that she has an attitude...but, that could be in the producing of it...I tape it and skip right thru the inane judges garble...I give them a '4!'...like in, four too many...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
