Spring Break

Hey, it's time to get away!...push back all them hard hours doing whatever you do and go where the sun is...and head on over to SPRING BREAK!...for us, it's the desert...and meet up with the other blokes who are tired of the rain, wind, snow, and other evil parts of the weather...put on our shorts, lather up the whitish skin with some Coppertone 30, find a lounger close to the pool...and live the life we think we deserve....drink, eat, swim, golf, talk...repeat...repeat...repeat...

Of course, most of our buds are no longer working...like them retired types now...but we can't get the time out of our system...in our minds, we are still young, in shape, and full of vim and vigor...what the hell, let's PARTY!...

I think back when we used to load up the VW Camper Van...mostly with beer and chips...a map, cuz we had no clue where and what SoCal was all about...and bolted just as soon as we could on Friday...got as far as the body would let...pull off at a roadside rest area...and do that...sleep for a few hours...and continue the trek...the first real stop?...at a market to get some Coors Beer...didn't have it in Orygun...

The T in the road was usually this...head on to Disneyland, or veer off to the sins of Reno...Nevada...pretty much a tossup...what the hey...let's keep on going all the way to Palm Springs...see?...not much has changed...

Now....we load up the SUV...make sure we have enough of the IPS Beer...chardonnay...organic chips...our $1,000 golf clubs...$300 sunglasses...put our trip info into the map thinger in the dash system...what is a map?...double check that the place we are going has a HD TV...so we can watch our shows...yup, everything is still the same...

Hoopdom...I prob won't write for  few days...you know, too inebriated to do so...thus, I will give you my pix for the college hoops...

Gentleman...South Carolina over the Zags...Oregon over North Carolina...
Calm down, kids...for the guys, I'm taking the points...

NBA...the Blazers are on a streak...the right time for one...at the end of the reg season...actually playing...gulp...D!...what the heck?...beat the Beard and his whiskers last eve...fun game...and...the PDX crowd is like no other...it's the only game in town, and they appreciate what they got...5 stars...

OK, for now...don't give up on me...check back in a few days...

And until then...make all your days be fulfilled...with a nice bubbly, and a good cigar...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
