Downtown

When life is getting you down...you can always go...Downtown...there you go...the hint for the day...get your duds on...get in your rig, or put your tennies on...head out to the coffee shop for a fresh, dark cup of Joe...and spend your time in...Downtown...you still have one, right?...diff from the Mall, the decaying part of the country...but...down to Main St, or Broadway, or whatever the street is that is...the hub of Downtown...go thru the tiny shops that were and are the back bone to the city structures...have some lunch at a quaint little deli...sounds fun, huh...do it...

Speaking of Petula Clark...I was, wasn't I?...she was the one who had this monster hit...'Downtown'...it was even a subject of a Seinfeld episode...where George and Jerry got emerged in the meaning of the lyrics...anyway...a few years back, I bought this vinyl that had Pet's Greatest Hits...a 2 disc set...a rare find...and she was a doozy...'Don't Sleep in the Subway'...and on and on...check her out on iTunes...

Imagine starting your game 15 points down...to the alleged 2nd best team in the NBA...the San Antonio Spurs...the game is in Texas...most teams would just fold up and call it a night...not the opponent...the Warriors...took it as a challenge...and won the bloody thing, walking away....listen, kids...they have found their swagger again...give 'em a few weeks and they get Kevin Durant back...seem unstoppable to you?...do to me...geez, that's Houston and San Antonio...in their place...pretty convincing to moi...

The line...the betting one...has risen for the North Carolina/Oregon game...hmmm...up to 5...incentive?...naw, the title enough is all that is needed...and lawdy, the Zags are steady at 6-1 over South Carolina...imagine...so cool for them, if they can get in the title game...

And...North Carolina...the state...has come to its senses and is rethinking the Trans-gender bathroom issue...c'mon Legislature types, do the right thing...ain't that hard...

Who you got as the new power couple in this fine land?....gots to be Ivanka and her beau...whoever he is (Jared Kushner)...as they sit right by Prez T in the White House...get this...as 'unpaid' government workers...advisors of sorts...what sorts are these?...I guess so they can be scrutinized like everyone else in the cabinet...'ethics rules' and all...

For you who like the country sanging...another of them awards shows is this Sunday...just try it on for size...see if them songs are to your liking...I know Carrie Underwood, Little Big Town, and Keith Urban, amongst many others are performing...trust the Horse, you'll like it...

Finally...one of the worst shows on the pixels, according to this blogger...Dance Moms...a peek at parenting at its worst...just got interesting...as the former coach...I did say former...as she quit, or got booted...whatever...and they hired the DWTS gal, Cheryl Burke...hmmm...really...suddenly this show got some credibility to it...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
