Daffy Duck

Ah yes, the new and improved cable box...just got the new Contour 2 from COX installed...and I must say it looks and sounds much better than the last version...except...I can't get the bloody thing to turn off with the new remote...what?...absolutely bizarre way to configure that...for you fellow elders, this is definitely a Daffy Duck situation...you KNOW what I mean...

The Jeff Sessions issue...just gets bigger and bigger...now, the media is publishing who the Russian dude is that he allegedly met up with...Sessions is in the 'recuse myself' mode...geez...I am dumbfounded about all this...I hear the pundits say the influence of the Russians and all...and feel that we must be extremely vulnerable...we need to toughen this country back up...

If you are not worried about the mighty Golden St Warriors and their immediate future...you are wrong, kids...the loss of Durant is a major blow to the rest of your season...they gave away a lot to sign him...and the dahling of the soft crowd of hoopsters, Steph Curry, is playing DOWN to his lowest levels...other teams are attacking him straight away...he is going half arse on D...and offensively, outside of his long range shooting...which lately has been awful, he is lazy with the ball...poor passes and lethargic effort...thing is...he is highly capable of much better...more Daffy Duck for the Coach, Steve Kerr...you can only be 'too cool' for so long...

Hey, those bookie dudes sure had the Blazer win over the Thunder down right...wowser...Westbrook went extremely cold down the stretch...which led PDX to the much needed win...in their battle for the 8th and final spot in the west...and...kids, with the demise of the Warriors, it may be a great matchup...unless...the Spurs overtake GS...which probably will happen...

Mexico...this is where the PGA Tour is this week...and most of them blokes are there (not Tiger), ha ha...a relatively short course...so, all of them have a shot at the top...actually Mexico City...is the 'don't drink the water' still an issue?...or an 'old wives tale?'...do only the old wives tell tales of being cautious?...anyway, Lefty is in the hunt and wouldn't that be fun if he won it...ole!...

Hate crimes...police arrested a man of 31 yrs of age...that has allegedly threatened at least 8 different Jewish sites...the man was in Missouri...there is just so much hate in this world...way too much...

Costco not making enough money?...money money money...what?...what the heck?...they are slammed 24-7...so they are raising their yearly dues...where does this go?...the CEO needs a new yacht?...if it smells fishy then it must be....

I'm gonna tell you right now...if you are one of them that wager on the Big Dance...might as well put it on long shots...as good as any of the choices...at the top...

Geez...Tiger just signed a deal to play a Bridgestone ball...well, you know what I'm going to say...the price per hit has to be astronomical...must have very, very deep pockets...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
