Mired in repeated mistakes of acquiring personnel...including their GM's...the ownership has been taking quite a beating lately...(See Spanos of the LA Chargers, too)...I've said this quite often, the owners use these teams as tinker toys...well, now the media has had it's fill of the product...and is writing and talking about it...lots about the losses...
NYC peops have the memories of Clyde Frazier, Willis Reed, Bill Bradley, Dave Debuschere, Phil Jackson (part of the story now), and the enforcer, Charles Oakley...amongst many others...and the city revels in those dudes...put on a pedestal, if you will...and I will...
Things have been boiling over...and last night was the breaking point...as Oakley was at a game there...had some choice words for the owner...ticked off the offended one...had Chas physically removed from the Garden...Oakley, now in his early 50's...but can still put up a fight...he resisted and there you have the story...it's only beginning, kids of New York...in the aftermath...Oakley, said he said nothing to the owner...you see a storm brewing here?...I do...
Put up a fight...this goes back to my teaching days in Oregon...my old high school is in a quandary...feeling that they are not able to play sports on the same level as the rest of the Salem schools, they are asking for a drop down in classifications of competition...from 6A to 5A...I guess that's the numbers now...this is the first I have heard of this...
Hmmm...many times the boundaries of the city made the schools seem unequal...and we, too, went through some rough times...but, we fought back...and I thought gave us a huge motivational advantage...part of coaching...did the rest of the school suffer?...are the classes equivalent to the other schools?...how about the music and band?...listen brass, there is more to the story...I would fear a drop would also mean a drop in pride...for those who attend there...keep thinking it through...
It does appear that my fam was the ones...make that THE ONES who watched that Cruz/Sanders debate...I brought it up to others and they had no idea what I was talking about...c'mon peops, this is a huge issue that we all need to address...Health Insurance...
