No Doubter

To say what has been posted all over the web net...is absolutely redundant...and true true...Terrific Tom Brady is just that...led the Pats back from almost certain defeat...in a wild 4th quarter, that surprised most all of us...and won the 51st Super Bowl in overtime...let's look back...

Atlanta dominated the 1st half in...get this...scoring...up 21-3...breezing...or so it seemed...the recently named MVP of the regular season, their QB Matt Ryan, was on fire...looking every bit as the proper recipient of that award...the defense was mauling the Patriots...actually hit the aforementioned Brady...often...and put the New England team in disarray...the interception for a TD was just the icing on the cake...hold on, kids...there was a hidden item...that NO ONE was talking about...

Halftime...the highly anticipated show of Lady Gaga...what?...she did not disappoint...full of energy and actually, get this Brit (and JLo), she sang in lieu of lip syncing...without a doubt, the quietest the party was...when she was doing her act...however...half of our group was wurmans....they were there for the commercials and the halftime show...and...gulp...drinking wine...who watches football and drinks wine?...blasphemy...or the dudes who drank the Guinness...not for the American style of football...nope no way...at least I knew a couple of her songs...hmmm...kind of reminded me of Madonna, about 40 years ago...stop it Horse...

So, I was sitting by the pancake man...and he told me a story...he was totally deadpanned while doing so..."Lady Gaga is preggers...and has already named the baby...GooGoo"...I fell for it...

Speaking of beer...I was, wasn't I?...what happened to them great Budweiser commercials of the past?...the innovation was gone for most all of the ads...the brain trusts must have retired....they were boring and disappointing...booooo...I guess the young kids playing football with the Buick in the background was OK...overall, boooooooooooooo...

The 2nd half...started as more of the same...Atlanta, about ready to explode with jubilation...scored again to make it 28-3...appeared to be insurmountable...the owner actually came down to the playing field in anticipation...ha ha...but...here's the hidden item...the Falcon D was on the field a looooonnnggg time...even though the Pats didn't score...they held the ball a lot...thus...the change...

To the naked eye, the Patriots scored to make the game not a blowout...and with the missed XP...just kind of fit into the somber mood for the Northeasters...why not go for two?...however, lost in football translation...momentum...what?...28-9...NE settled for another score of a FG...28-12...now in the 4th Q...shirley, I mean surely, this can't be happening...down 16...naw...

And then...huge sack on Ryan and a...gasp...fumble!...Pat ball...and soon...another TD!...trickery for the 2 pt conversion...and the deficit is now...gulp...8!.....28-20...less than 5 minutes to go...let's pause here rover...calm down...get back into your proper offensive mode, Atlanta...which they did...marched down (up?) the field for a game securing TD or FG...they have an awesome kicker...

Hold de phone...another sack...and a holding penalty...stalled the drive and took them out of FG range...punted to the 8 yd line...but...the Falcon D is and was...WASTED!...TIRED!...and went into their version of the  bloody prevent D...thing is, they didn't change their defense...Tom Terrific picked it and them apart...add on an absolute miracle catch on the way...by Julian Edelman...see, did name someone other than both QB's...I must say that there were fantastic plays made by many dudes throughout this game...

There you go...the Patriots got another TD with less than a minute to go...and yes...got the 2 point conversion to do the impossible...tie up the bloody game...28-28...what just happened?...it will take years, and maybe even a lifetime...that the Falcon coaches will go over and over in their brains as to what went wrong...just ask the OC from Seattle a couple of years back...

OT...the flip went New England's way...and this game was over...the Atlanta defense was, like I said above...was through...Tom and his crew waltzed all the way to the end zone for the game winner...shoot, Atlanta's O never got a chance...

Head coach, Bill Bellychick, and star QB, Tom Terrific, and the rest of the Patriots gang...had their 5th Super Bowl title...TT was MVP...and now, are YOU a believer?...I am...
