Hey, you're gonna get it this weekend...the NFL Playoffs...the final 8 teams...what a great opp to bet on your favorite...today's matches...have the Seahawks at the Falcons...and the Texans traveling up to the Pats...yes, the Horse has already done his picking...and...I really like these games....you know, watching New England play, is like watching the Golden St Warriors do so in hoops...almost magical...and done the right way...

In the aftermath of the Bolt's move out of the southland...lingering thoughts abound about the franchise and the owner, the Spanos family...there are those who say that ever since they bought it in 1986, it was a doomed one...long before we moved here...too bad, as the team has been here for 56 years...always tough to see a team leave...but, under this pathetic ownership, it is a loser...good luck LA...

You know we have never stayed in Oahu...for like 15 years of us going to Hawaii...we have always gone to Maui...appears that if one stayed there (Oahu), you wouldn't have to rent a car...I dunno...anyway, the Golf T there is featuring the emergence of this dude, Justin Thomas (JT)...he followed up his 59, with a poor 64...kidding...he is in the zone...man, the sites there are beautiful...right?...

The Bachelor...is this on your watchlist?...is ours...ah, Nick...me thinks he is a bit of a Casanova...ha ha...and the uncomfortable situation in the last show...he had a gal that he 'hooked up' with...at a wedding the year prior...was one of the 30 possibles...just gots to think that this is going to blow up in his face...am NOT looking at Reality Steve...so I don't know who won...that is right, you WIN, right?...er, picked...true love...yessirree, Bob...

Back when the Horse coached...yes, I used to work...there was this young dude, with loads of potential...that was our JV coach...well, he finally got his chance...to be the HC...I bring this up...as I saw a clip of his team beating the dreaded powerhouse team...and there was a CROWD there...olden times...way cool...for his team, school and him...Sandy, good on ya...

NBA...the Cavs reemerged in Sac town...whupped Boogie and the Kings...badly, as Cleve gets ready for the match with the Warriors in Oakland...and get this...just after a super win versus that same Cav team, PDX loses...at home...to the Orlando Magic...geez...something is missing...hey, they just run around and fire the ball up...and there is no D in Portlan...

Padre news...well now, I haven't gone here for awhile...the management signed a couple of blokes...1B Wil Myers and 3B Solarte...to solidify this next year's team...this is a good thing...now, if we can just get some pitching...

You know, I've been around a long time...I've never seen the divide as great as it is for the new Prez...what gets me the most?...is that he isn't really a Repub...somehow, he got the nod...and so many people are trying to block it...just don't see how this benefits the country...listen kids...you had your chance, when it was voting time...why now?...I know, I keep harping on this...but, it's true...

Finally...well...not finally...Happy Birthday to my gal...and the bad part is that she is sickly...boo...so, we are delaying the event...you know, the dinner and all...whatever 'all' is...

I declare this 'Be Good To Your Mate' day...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
