The Inauguration

The country embarks on it's 45th Prez...today...it's the celebration of the occurrence...seems more fitting, that we put aside our differences for one day, kids...and embrace what we have...and, certainly, the new direction and path we are on...hey, we say this every 4 or 8 yrs...it's true...I hear the opposition loud and clearly...why?...all timing, and it is wrong in my mind...nothing good to come out of that...let's let the process work it's way...President Donald J Trump...

For all of the major hoopla of the upcoming storms...round one here was a fizzle...in fact, the day was actually really nice...go figure...well, the weather peops say round 2 will pack a wallop...OK, bring it on...

The NBA named it's lineup for the All Star game...my fears for the East, were unneeded...the right dudes were on it...same for the west...man, I never say that for MLB's version...of their AS...poor Westbrook was not named...not a fan...and many others feel the same way...Curry over Russell W...of course...

You ever notice how many UCLA players are in the league?...talking the NBA still...right now...there are 14...amazing...as that school hasn't won it since the Rowe/Wicks era...right?...that school must be severely lacking in the coaching...but, not recruiting...ha ha...14?...wowser...

NFL...you have your bets in?...the Falcons are favored by 4 over the Pack...and the Pats are like at 6 versus the Steel Curtain...what's the Horse think?...I like Green Bay and New England...hey, I'd take the 4 points and the underdog in the Packer game...

Late nite TV talk shows...how about this for a change in topics...gone are the staples of the likes of Letterman and Leno...here's my beef...'where's the beef?'...remember that ad?...I digress...the Stephen Colbert Show is a mess...I can't get past his awful dialogues...you know, I'd stay up for Letterman's...and then, hit the hay...Colbert?...never...awful...waste of time...you have the Horse's drift?...geez, I like talking in the 3rd person...'Jimmy likes it'...

El Chapo...you know this guy?...head, or former leader, of one of them cartels out of Mexico...extradited to NYC to face the US Court...hmmm...scary place this area south of us...check out the recent happenings in Cancun...if you are a visitor there...be on your guard...that's what the Security peops say...

OK, kids...the Inauguration is on...I think on all pixel channels...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
