Nuttin but Lefty

That may be a bit of a slight for the other 69 or so blokes left in the Farmer's Tournament out at Torrey Pines...yes, that made the cut...to get to play the final two days...I'm talking about the fan fav, er, one of them...Lefty...Phil Mickleson....as we head out today to watch this gala event at one of the best 'open to the public' golf courses in our land...Torrey Pines...

Many of you have played it...it is unbelievably loooong...and it costs like a pay check...unless you are a registered owner in this fine city...the card costs $25...I digress...there are 2 courses, the South and the North (redone)...the South is the brutal one...for you, me, and the Pros...just ask the 3 dudes who are not in the final 36 holes of this T...Jason Day, Dustin Johnson, and Tiger Woods...

More of them crowd favs for sure...but, they struggled with the grounds...we have had an extended stay of the wet stuff...that made the place even harder and loooooonger.....including for them big boppers...and yesterday...the most evil of all tricks to hit a GC...came up...and it was cold...the wind...

So...today we go out...and watch the bloke who will have the throngs that were anticipating the Tiger...who ain't there...he's a lot more friendly, anyway...treats the public like the best of the best...but...this is the 3rd time that we have set our sites on Woods...and he has not made the weekend those times...booo...BTW, who is leading?...Justin Rose...

Cris and I got to play at Sycuan yesterday....bright, sunny, and the cool wind...it's great to get to play with your son...doesn't happen enough...he was pretty good, and I was pretty awful...but, the day was pretty and that trumped every thing else...

We then did a tour if you will...of some of our fav waterholes...last night...Las Hadas for one...the best...and went up to a spectacular venue that has a breath taking view of this fine city...the Nolan...good eats, I might add...try it, if you are one of my readers from this area...check it out...

California Chrome races today...at Gulfstream Park...in the Pegasus....get this, the purse is $12 million bucks!...like having LeBron and KD running in a race for the type of cash they make...every day...what on earth are you talking about Horse?...anyway...CC will not be favored!...what?...Arrogate will be...cuz of the track...a very short start to the first turn...almost like one of them bullrings that I used to bet back in the Oregon St Fair days...really...and Arrogate is in PP1...huge advantage to CC, stuck in PP12...this is supposed to be Chrome's last race...

Every once in a while, other than the Prez, there are some fascinating Tweets out there...one was a jab back and forth with a couple of NBA dudes...Chandler Parsons and CJ McCollum...trading insults...now THAT'S what I'm talking about...

It's a wassie morning...
