Where might that be for you?...every city has one...some are more famous than others...it's the hub where people congregate...lots of shops, bars, restaurants, lights, viewing spots...and on and on...it's THE PLACE to go...in fact, some have more than one...like in NYC, they have an uptown, too...here in San Diego, it's 5th Avenue...Nashville has Lowbroad...LA has Hollywood and Vine...Santa Barbara has State St...you get it...the list goes on for all cities...
Used to be...and that is in the past tense...the best time to go DOWNTOWN was on the weekend...I always wondered how the businesses made it...well, I did...cuz, the action was only for a couple of days out of the week...I got it...it's the weather...like here...you go anytime...anyway...there is no reason for you to feel down...as you can always go downtown...
Well, that's what the owners of my FF team, Horse, needs to do right now...got blitzed yet again...lost by 20 to the "Native Americans"...which, I don't know if that is sarcasm or not...can't imagine another purist soul like mine out there playing this stupid game of fantasy....BTW, I offered the head coaching position to two blokes...they both declined...citing health issues and intelligence in the same breath...had another owner tell me, to hang on for a couple of weeks and there is a dude named Donald who will be available...to bail you out of anything...hmmm...0-7...eeks...er, reeks!...
Euphoria rocked 5th in the GQ, here DOWNTOWN...as the Bolts came back from nowhere and won in OT at Hotlanta...curios play calling by the Falcons led to the W...they went for it on 4th and a couple...in their own territory (now THAT sounds Native)...got stopped and the Chargers marched up, er down, the field and hit the game winning FG...hey...talk about them kicking dudes...with the most awful of all awful games this season...Seattle at Arizona...
The game ended in a draw...went OT at 3-3...yup, you got that right...and each kicker missed a chip shot to win the game for their side...the oddest part of football...300+ human beings knocking each other almost out for 4 quarters...and then this 140 lb bloke, untouched by human hands...jogs out and decides the fate of the contest...weird and wack....there has to be a better way...
"60 Minutes"...the CBS Show... ran a piece, er segment...of people who are making it big, money wise...by using "social media"...using their talents to garner their fame and fortune...of course, KK was one of them...did you see it?...what part of her face is real?...c'mon...her comment was that she makes millions of $, thus, she MUST have a talent...there you go...your job, if you choose to do so, is to find IT!...
So...I went DOWNTOWN to have this piece of hard plastic (?) put on the face of my new iPhone...well, I already tried to do it...and you got it...bubbleishis...bubbles under it...boo...blasphemy...went to the Verizon Store...ran pretty much like Apple...they greet you at the door and put you on the "list"...the bloody que...anyway, they redid it...I think they took my effort off and put on a newbie...no charge and I am a happy dude...
We keep talking about Halloween...what or who we are going to be...well, we are either going to SB, or have the kids here...I think that is the plan...so...maybe we are not doing the dress up thinger...ha ha...I use this blonde wig...and have been anyone from a girl to a rocker...
I know the theory of red skies at night, but what if you have red skies in the morning?...
