Morning, kids...to say that this is "paradise" would be redundant...just beautiful...we have been basking in it all...some tidbits for you...
It is 86* and humid...weird, as the global warming affects this area in a different way...oops, sorry Repubs, that's if it exists...
Went to Java Jazz & Soup Nutz for dinner last eve...our friends, the Allens, fav hideout....cool place...nice wine and food...had a sanger, too...
There are a billion people here for some reason...both in our hotel and in Lahaina...one is that there is a cruise ship docked in the ocean from Australia...they talk funny...
We have 2 pools and they are both slammed! First time in 14 years I can say that...BTW, got my gurl a watch for the anniversary and the shop owner said most people here are either from SoCal, Washington, or Oregon...and the Aussies...
Last night there was a mini show that featured an Elvis impersonator...here's the real story...we were getting out of the elevator around 3ish, and a dude said "I knew I recognized you, you are the Elvis guy!"...didn't quite know how to take that, but I remarked in my lowest voice "thank you very much" ...as the doors shut...
We played golf out at Kaanapali Kai yesterday...like 5 minutes away...spendy, but got a highly reduced rate due to staying in the hotel we are at...due to all the rain they have had, the roughs were untouched...we took the ball out...thus, my 80 seems tainted...ha ha...my irons were spot on...renting some Taylor Made...which seems like a great anniversary gift to moi...hint...
Our plan for today is to go snorkeling at Napili Point...we will look it over first, before buying the apparatus...water temp and all...and, how clear the agua is...
My son and his wife made it back from Their European honeymoon...always worries me about traveling over yonder...
And...
Maybe it's as bad in the States...or worse...as another pathetic coward set off pipe bombs in Manhattan...string 'em up...maybe too strong of a feeling Horse...
The Bolts clobbered Jax yesterday...this is great news...and the upset of the day, Tennessee beat Detroit...sweet...go figure Seattle's pathetic effort at LA...
Pathetic?...my FF team got beat by 40!...these are professional football players...so they tell me...
You watch the show "Veep?"...tried a couple of times...stupid...somehow Julia wins the Emmy every year for it...don't get it...
Looks like the NY cops captured the bombing coward...on CNN right now...could be New Jersey cops...great news...
