The follow up to the absurd story that the Lochte kid and his compatriots drummed up in Rio...lies...the one bloke, James...paid Brazil $11 grand to not prosecute...and got outta there...the two who were taken from the plane, apparently recounted their story...and this time...flew home...the mastermind of the fable, has yet to be found here in the States...give us all a break...

The gals USA Oly hoop team....won again and are in the finals...for the gold...thank you NBC...I couldn't find it anywhere in your telecast...the star of the team, former UCONN player (aren't most of them?), Diana Taurasi, suggested that they ran around naked, and they would then get coverage...hey...no...tell that to NBC...we want to see you play hoops...BTW, the guys play Spain in the semis today...somewhere on the pixels...have NO idea where...

Just a few seasons back...the face of the Del Mar Racing Season was the gal jockey Chantel Sutherland...she was having a great year...and then went back east...to ride...actually Canada...Woodbine...well, she is back...has been struggling to get good mounts...got herself a much needed win in the 6th yesterday...and Horse had her in the Exacta...paid like $50 something...a good day for moi...went over to Striders rather than to the track...dang it, if they didn't charge the $15 to enter...they give it back to you in drinks and food...er drinks, ha ha...Bud Lights...tall cans...I digress...

It is hot hot hot on the west coast...up an down it...and dry...fires are a worry and a reality...one just north of here...and one north of Santa Barbara...one south of Sacramento...that's weird...all places that my son and his new wife own property...look at the map, and you'd think all of Cali was ablaze...we've been lucky so far, lacking the Santa Ana winds...
