Morning, kids...the start of the week...for you who have started your new school year...good luck to ya"ll...still seems too early...here in SoCal we are in a steady heat wave and very humid...odd for us...this has easily been the hottest year since we have been here...10+ years now...really?...wowser...gander at the rest of the country, er, back east and witness the huge amounts of rain that have hit them...just totally bizarre...

So you'd think that NBC would show the U Bolt's run at the 100 meter dash at the Rio's...LIVE!...nope...they want you to watch all the hype prior to it...later...boooooo....got the results via Twitter...too bad...there are those who say this has been going on all week...and...the Golf Channel showed the guys version of their Oly meet...congrats to the top two...Rose and Stenson...great match, as it turned out...out of nowhere came the American Kuch...made a great run....and got the Bronze...the cream did indeed rise to the top...and...the guys US hoops team survived yet again...I fear a loss in the medal sessions of the games...the gals?...romp...

Hey, I'm the guy that says the MLB season is tooooo long...it continues until the weather changes to cold...especially in the eastern portion of the country...of course, it will never change...$$$...I say the same thing about the NBA regular season...the same comment...$$$...oh yea...the Pads almost got no hit...thru 7 and a 1/3rd innings...we have backed ourselves into a team that we have had for the last 9 or 10 years...unexciting and banking on NEXT year...listen Trader AJ, you have to have quality pitching to be able to compete with the Bums and the Giants...which we do not have...again...

Street crime in Rio...terrifying story of the robbing of the swimmers at GUNPOINT...at least 3 such items that have been reported...some countries are putting out a lockdown after 6 pm to 6 am...sad...but real, huh...

I was laughing last nite...as Marsh was trying to find some news on the Prez candy peops...nobody was talking...she had withdrawals...instead...not a funny thing...more stuff on the unrest in Milwaukee...black cop shot a black man...so...it is cop versus the public, I suppose...things are on the tipping point in parts of our country...sure seems like it happens way more during the summer, right?...

Me old coaching buddy, Scotty...said me talk on the best of the NBA all time got him a thinking...that he would start his team with Larry Bird...hmmm...the game has changed...the big man is almost a liability now...it's a lot of screen and rolls...drive and dish for a 3 ball...which would fit Bird to a tee...he maybe on to something...imagine Jerry West in that type of play...too...

We went on a road trip to San Marcos...not before the bloody light went off on the Beamer...low pressure in the tires...the way the system works and warns you...fuggit about driving until you get it fixed....we stopped at the Firestone Store...promptly got it fixed...they even gave us a gauge...cool...off we went...

About a 40 minute drive north...give or take 10 minutes...up the 163...to a wall bed store that was going to give us a deal....it was worth the drive...for all of you that come here to stay with us....you now will have a real mattress to sleep on...hip hip...doubles as a desk for Marsh...get this...takes 10 weeks to get made...in the US of A...well, LA...that is part of the US, right?...BTW, San Marcos is just east of the great mall above, er north of the race track...Palomar Airport Rd...where Palomar College is...duh...OK, geography lesson is over...
