Say What?

Morning kids...you ever wonder what on earth that triggers a bloke to say what he says?...er, what a gal would say what she says?...look, I am referring to an outlandish comment...that one can't take back...that may stick with that person...forever...of course, we could apply that to any candy man or woman, running to be Prez...right?...

But...for some reason it doesn't stick to the Donald as much as most any other person I can remember...you could pile a boatload of his statements up...people may shake their collective heads...and yet...still vote for him...why?...they don't like the Hilz...she has been in the public eye, er political eye for so long...many feel she is not too warm and fuzzy, I suppose...is Trump?...

Famous author and gad about the DC scene...George Will...started as a newspaper pundit...advanced (?) to an expert on politics...albeit from the very conservative angle...I think his last gig was for FOX...has a very dry and authoritative way of speaking to boot...hey, the dude even wrote a book about baseball...ha ha...OK, he has had it with the Repubs and is quitting the party cuz of Trump...what?...before the convention?...c'mon man...at least he hasn't said (yet) that he is moving out of the country if the Donald gets elected...like Rosie, Whoopie, Miley, and Cher...leaving the country?...really?...bye bye Miss American Pie...(Don McLean)...

My Big Brother fix has been taken care of...CBS...don't write me on this...it takes up the summer of boredom away...the cast of 16 characters, stuck in a contrived "house" in LaLa land...on a set...slowly...methodically...the numbers dwindle...as the plotting and lying and cheating...you know, politically influenced...snakes through the "house"...we get to know the combatants pretty well...we tape it...and yes...we enjoy the journey...they already booted the elder gentleman...this is not a good show for the over 40, maybe 30, age group players...ha ha...don't mock me, until you gander at this...

I don't know why...but it seemed weird to see Pete Rose honored at the Cincy/SD game yesterday...yup, I know, he was inducted (indicted) into the Redlegs Hall of Fame...I guess time heals all wounds...really?...if you are a baseball purist I'm sure you don't agree with what the Cincinnati ball club did...

There were stats thrown all over the place with the game however...FOX Sports did the telecast...in fact, they were better at informing us San Diegans than our own blokes...that the best offense in the National League for June is the Padres...what?...yessiree Bob...led by Will Myers and Matty Kemp...who not only have hit the long ball, but have ample RBI numbers...but still...we are last in the West...have to take the good with the real, right?...BTW, we won again...3-0...there is promise on the horizon, kids...

In a couple of weeks the MLB All Star game is to be held in our own Petco Park...with all the festivities planned...Minor League All Star game, Celebrity Softball game, Home Run Derby, and the All Star game itself...it behooves me to know I got none, nunca, zero, zilch amount of tix...to any of the shows...0!...I'm gonna try to get a standing roomer for the actual game and just roam the park...buy a beer or two...and then say I was there...

The PGA Tour is in DC...wonder if the pouting George Will is there?...I digress...and guess who is in the mix?...the veterans and good guys of the sport...Ernie Els and Vijay Singh...really?...EE actually holed out from 100+ yds for an eagle...I am pulling for him...big time...BTW, the young buck who was leading after round 2...the kid from Arizona...who popped off that he was gonna beat all of Jack's numbers...fell off...has a trigger temper...no way no how...dime a dozen...if you lose it in that sport you are a has been...

The LPGA is in Arkansas...guess who is leading?...one of our favs that we actually met and got an autograph from...actually Larry Gahr and I did...ha ha...Morgan Pressel...think she is now hitched...and yet, didn't take the guys name...that is the way of the peops now...right Leila?...just don't get that...I digress...anyway, hope Morgan has a great round today and wins...been awhile...

Gonna end with a pix of our foursome...the group that plays together 3 times a week...and rarely fights...out at Sycuan...3 of these dudes look like golfers...guess which one looks to be the odd man out?...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
