Trumping Up A GC

Hey now, that is quite the terminology, right?...trumping up something...you can't clinton up something...sorry...but I laughed at the notion of a pundit saying that the PGA is clowning the golf course up for the PGA T...so...that is equating trumping to clowning...hmmm...I digress...

Most every golf course that I play seems quite tame...albeit, for a qualified stick...not like me...the way that the golf supers make it more difficult, is by putting the pins in the toughest places on the greens...but if you have time...you can do what the bigs do...

First of all, is close the course down...so you can grow the rough up...nothing tougher than hitting out of 5 inch grass...and worse...shrink the fairways...then shave everything close to the greens...especially around water...double cut and roll the greens so that it is like putting on concrete...all in prep work...finally, talk to mother nature and get as much wind as you can ask for...there you go...

Disaster...the Pads found yet another way to lose...after a terrific day of pitching...that had the Giants at zero....unfortunately, so did we...had nothing but "0's" on the scoreboard...until the bottom of the 9th...a pop up to short rf...oops...where the ever bumbling Matt Kemp roams...who promptly dropped the ball...actually had an awful route to get there to miss it...run scored...and the SF dudes were celebrating...even, our local TV announcers couldn't mask their disgust and shock...lordy, the morning Trib didn't even use the "drop" in their front page description...who is protecting whom?...as the Horse as being saying a lot lately, let's bring up the youngin' Renfroe and let him learn on the run...

What on earth is going on in Canada?...the Raptors play so differently than they do in the States...actually dominated the Cavs...tied the series at 2...hmmm....what?...so, now it's the best of 3...part of Cleve's problem is their PG Irving...for all the scoring power of the bloke, he can't guard a moving chair...so...when they get the games back south, this will all turn around?...does it actually go like that?...

Who you have for the winner of the "Mirror Ball?"...kind of think that it has to be one of the gals...but...the mystery of the people's votes is beyond comprehension...they never release the numbers...a thorn in my side forever...Dancing With The Stars...wait, which of these finalists are stars?...

"The kick"...the intentional or unintentional act of the PF Draymond Green of the SF Warriors...into the Thunder C solar plexus...the league said that the refs should have booted him...after the fact...but...they fined him...that's it...he plays on...imagine the Oky City reaction to him in their building tonight...

PR nightmare...the Padres are hosting the LA Bums...they have the San Diego Gay Man's Chorus ready to sing the national anthem...and then...somebody in power...plays a taped version of it in lieu...while the guys are out on the field ready to go...imagine it...they then walk off the field...you think that the Padres don't have real problems?...
OK, the mighty Carnac predicts...a return to the card game, "Let It Ride", is in my future....

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
