Sunday Quickie

Morning...just a quickie as we bolt to Chino Hills for the Alumni T...still can't make up my mind as to
whether I should take my own rig...or come back tomorrow via Amtrak...a decision to be be made in an hour...oh well...

After a late dinner out at Harbor Island...the Light House...new to us...fantastic view of the City...got back in time to watch the end of the Pad's game...hmmm...went to OT...finally gave up on it, when we had the bases loaded in the 13th...that's right, thirteenth...inning...one out...and didn't score...went to bed....read in this am, we won it in the next...14th...2 run dinger by BJ, oops, Melvin Upton, Jr...hey, our first home W...celebrate!...

The NBA...a couple of upsets in day 1...at least, in me mind...Boston lost...Indiana won...the other two were romps...Golden St and OKC (Supersonics)....the biggee for today?...PDX at LA Clips...c'mon 3 pointers, DROP!...

The way the press covers the Coachella Festival in the desert, you would think they would rename it the Koachella, with all the coverage they give to the West Koast Kamelot Fam...

Let's see...balls, tees, shoes, glove, marker, sticks, cap, and luck...ready....

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
