Padres a Possibility!

Maybe the headline should be more with a question mark...right?...anyway, the mighty PADRES won game one last eve versus the always good Cards from Saint Looey...the new home of the old Pad, Jed Gyorko...ah hem, not one of my favs...I digress...some big hits by Wil Myers...who is on fire, kids...some tough chucking by S Cashner, and the relief guys looked terrific...the recipe for success...I tell you, they surprise me...BTW, they were wearing the brown uni's...

What the heck is going on with Ripa and Strahan?...you know what I'm talking about, right?...he has left for GMA...she is pissed...and the brouhaha has begun...the NY Post "posted" that the two never got along...hey, these kids are pro's...didn't seem like it on the pixels...oh well, they will do a nationwide search for a new partner of Kelly...figure the leader in the club house is Anderson Cooper...boring...

Went to a party over in the area of the park...Balboa...they have a few names for diff neighborhoods...Marsh's broker...the place was way cool...and yup, we have the bug...we are on the prowl for a house around there...geez, we love the SD weather...so guess what?...we start a long process to see if it is a go...get enticed...done...put our place on the market...nope, not yet...but yea, the tickle has been itched...

Oh my...not often I write a negative about a restaurant in the GQ...but...here goes...we stopped by after the party for a dinner at Searsucker...wildly acclaimed as a go to...we split a fresh "halibut" plate...smashed taters...and a caesar salad...sounds great, huh...BTW, who doesn't serve bread with a dinner?...not this place...when the fish came...it was tepid...the outside was like leather...the taters were like mush...I could go on...because the place was packed we tried to eat it...and bolt...never will go back...and shoot, at $42 for just the halibut, well...no bueno...

Speaking of Sears...I was, wasn't I?...they are on the brink of closing...many of their stores nationwide...too bad...back in the day, that is where I bought most of our appliances...think that we might go back to that style of living...hmmm...

I have to mention poli-ticks...this is near a done deal right?...Trump vs Clinton...hold the phone...there is a rumor that Bernie may run as a 3rd party candy man...that the Demos have been unethical...not a good move for Hilz...she needs to bring Sanders in her corral, and use his youth energy votes...well, at least the college kids...just another chapter...

Something down here...the Chargers released a version of what they are looking at for a new stadium in downtown....marvelous rendition...and it had got the people a talking...go figure...I thought that this was dead...hmmm...to be put on the other side of Petco Park...looks way cool...

Now that there is the warming of the CUBA/USA relations, can we get serious about this...can you now buy a Cuban cigar in the states?...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
