NBA Nite

The nite belonged to the NBA...specifically, the Cali teams...did you catch the action?...it was special...so many peops say that the regular season means nada...last night was the exception...as the final set of games were played...

For moi, it was the question mark of the NEW single season win mark...would the Golden St Warriors get to 73?...think about that for a while...73 wins and 9 losses...lawdy, who does that?...the Alameda fans were ready...showed up many hours early for the chance at the celebration...if the team could do it...they did...led by the awesome performance by the shoo-in MVP, Steph Curry...who was at his finest...46 points in 30 minutes of action...the crowd was delirious...let that set in for a bit...enjoy the accomplishment...then, get after in in the playoffs...let it be resaid...Horse has picked them NOT to win the title, as a repeat....I do hope I'm wrong...

Up in LA, there was another celebration...the final game of Kobe Bryant...hasn't this farewell tour of his lasted longer than Cher's?...I digress...and the former Lakers were there...so many of the past stars, well, and former players...it was truly a great send off...a party of sorts for the Lake Show...who would have thunk what happened...Kobe went back into time...led his team from behind for a W...and...went off...I mean OFF!...scored 60 points...wait, what?...shot more times than he ever has before...ever...50...as the team fed him...he was running on fumes for most of the 4th Q...he hasn't played that much for 2 years...OK, at times the Utah Jazz resembled the Washington Generals (the Globe Trotters opponent)...but who cared?...gawd, it was great for the City and the viewing crowd...it was like " is this really happening?"...the jumping up an down by Jack  Nicholson is etched in my mind...OK, it was way cool...

Now...the elongated playoffs kick off...most peops wait for this...last nite...however...was special...

We watched the fams of both the Trumps and the Cruz's...CNN...I already wrote about the Kasich Clan...I am biased...the Donald's were great and believable...especially the elder daughter....who can speak...Raffy?...don't trust a word that they say....something is not right there....Horse can smell something fishy...a trait that he has...

The Demos have a debate this eve...the polls have Hilz in the lead...by a goodly margin...well, let's see what the public has to say...have no reason to doubt what that says...

Have I told you how I don't like either upper echelon of either parties?...they want who they want...at all costs...and I don't like it...didn't I just say that?...I believe in one vote equals one vote...just doesn't hold up in the parties...the Repubs and the Colorado non-vote is a travesty...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
