Torrential Rain

Well, not exactly....but, we had a blast of the wet stuff last eve...right at the time we were driving over to Mission Bay HS to watch my old school play ball...Sprague...forgot what it's like back in the school zones...parking always an issue...and only walked thru 3 massive puddles of water...

After a whopping $20 price to get in and watch the game....egads!...went over and talked to the now coach, BJ...such a nice guy...and had no idea his assist. was my old high school chum, Mike Wilson...had a terrific talk and wished the guys well...their team has a couple of standouts...have no idea about their age...but if young, this will be a good team...

Unfortunately, they played a "zoo" like team from just south of Sac...press made or miss...rotate 12 kids every few minutes...and were mighty speedy...a team that you would beat handily in a regular season game...but...in these tourney type ones...the refs let 'em play...and foul at will...favors the aggressors...and...I had no idea that high school has a shot clock...hmmm...and there you go, Horse is so out of it...yet, it was fun for us, to watch a game...well, it was for me...

As we head on out to the Q tomorrow for the Holiday Bowl...I'm sure I am going to hear about this for weeks from M...please let it be good weather...Radar and his new bride are going to join us...go by trolley...goes right up to the stadium...USC/Wisconsin...remember, I gambled it would be the Ducks here...oh well, it will be fun to see the pomp and well, you know, the passion of the colleges...

Arse of the year?...what?...it's not any proctologist...it's the dudes who insert the butt pads into those who pay for a bigger derriere...has to be big $ in the biz...not sure if it's a passing fad, but oh my...blame it all on KK...who I must admit, is a trend setter of sorts...would love to see a 20 yard dash by her and her lookalikes...ha ha...

Polls polls polls...the latest has a virtual tie between the Donald and Hilz...that is a significant change...she has been in the driver's seat in all comparisons...until now...this will be a beauty...talking in '16...put on your seat belt, and enjoy the ride...

Got back in time to watch the Warriors/Kings play...Sac was on their game...early...and the end of the 1st half was legendary...a long range shoot out with a King bloke, and Seth Curry...the crowd went CRAZY!...3 after 3 after 3...it was loud...and fun...2nd half turned all GS...as the mercurial star of the Kings, Boogie Cousins...went ballistic and got tossed...and thus the game was over...can't imagine trying to coach that bloke...what a waste of talent...

Golf...yes...I finally get to test the sticks again...however, it will be at Steele Canyon GC...ours is overrun by a Jr Golf T...booo...today...tee time at noonish...which means we will finish at almost dark...and out in El Cajon...cold...it's been a couple of weeks, so I'm sure I'll be terrible...BTW, my club got brand new golf carts...way cool...cushioned singular seats...there goes my push cart...ha ha...

And...pretty much as important as anything I do...got 3 bags of french roast coffee...and that's what we had this am...makes all the difference in the world...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
