Surprise
The game took an hour plus to start...lightning delay...and finished with an alert to the same...Boulder can be electric...UO did some things that are some of my no-nos...they decided to rotate QB's...odd timing...as they would do so, even if the bloke engineered a TD drive...with the game in hand...went for a 4th down at midfield...didn't get it...and led to a Colorado easy score....
Oh well...it's a victory kids...Horse did watch a bunch of other games...all back east...and the weather....lots of rain and wind...were big factors in the outcomes...losses and near ones...led to a bizarre day...these guys took their lumps...ND, UCLA, Mississippi, Georgia, Ohio St...the list goes on...the top 4 for the playoffs is gonna be wild this season....parity...
As I have alluded...I was anxious to get out to the course...had put in a twist into my swing thoughts...eegads...I was pull hooking the heck out of my drives...understand...I was hitting it pure and long....and way left....back to the drawing board...never ending search for the probable unachievable swing for moi...
I have bad mouthed the SDSU football...they did the same as UO...found a way to pound the ball....against the once proud Fresno St Bulldogs...who fired their coach, a few years back...and have fallen off the charts since...get this...the Aztec Coach Long said...not verbatim...but when asked about the win...he said that those were two bad teams out there, and we were a bit better than them...gosh, wouldn't it be fun to play for him?...
Speaking of coaching...the head coach of Colorado is a gem...one of his assistants got hit with a 15 yard penalty...and the head coach went off on him...pushed him a couple of times...to me, immediate suspension...reminded me of the UCLA confrontation last season...save it for the locker room, you foos....
The Pads season is finally coming to a merciful end...and I have to admit...the promise that the GM laid upon us was plastic...our pitching was dreadful...absolutely...which has been our strength of the past...he fired the manager...as to mend the problem...fact is...the GM's of this era...are mostly the youthful blokes...like in their early 30's...and move players like on a fantasy team...disregarding the most important part of the biz...what type of character the guy has...note the closer Paplebon...of the Nats...bad guy...bad team mate...for all the glitz and glory SD would like you to swallow...still ended in 4th in the division...D- or F+...you take your pick...a failure, nonetheless...
The weather has finally changed here...T storms out at El Cajon...72 for a high...hmmm...it feels good...
BTW, we had din din at Chianti last eve...the best, Jerry, the best...accompanied by a bottle of Pinot from Domaine (2013)...just a perfect meal...
Cuz I stayed up so late to watch the finale of the Duck game...I turned on the SNL show that had Myley Cyrus as the hostess...and also had Hillary on it...Ms. Clinton to you...lordy, Cyrus is a joke...I think she thinks (?) that people are laughing with her...ha ha...it's at her...
Time for some NFL...go, wait, I don't have a team...
