25 hour whirlwind trip to Santa Barbara...half of it spent on the Amtrak...business class...well worth the $, to let them do the driving...and get to see the kids...and the one and only Don Henley...who was good...sang most of his new CD...and his 80's and 90's hits...yet, no Eagle songs...must be a contractual thinger...it's like seeing Paul McCartney and him wailing no Beatles songs...I'm just saying...
Ho hum...that's the scary part...as there was another school shooting...this time in Arizona...what has the country to do?...the ultra right, which by the way, is Arizona, has to be up in arms...bad metaphor...there you go again, "it's not the guns that kill the people"...right...as we continue to look the other direction...
Bizarre play at the Prez Cup...over in South Korea...16 hrs ahead of us...so, it plays out in our prime time of viewing the pixels...much to the chagrin of Marsh....anyhoo...Lefty was at the core of it all...seems like he was playing along on the 7th hole...did what he always would do at the other team match, the Ryder's Cup...used a different ball on the tee that he was using for the other holes...hit it...and then caught himself...asked if it was OK to do what he did...apparently not...and was told by the rules committee that he was DQ'd for the hole...incorrect ruling...should have been able to play on...and after the US lost that hole, we're penalized another hole...what?...how can you lose a hole twice?...bad golf judgment...and bad golf rules...
Furthermore...the US doesn't have twelve top flight world players...outside of the top 6, the rest are not nearly as good as the rest of the world's...er, the places other than Europe...what?...I'm confused...and...that Jack Nicklaus designed GC must be a bear...oops, sorry again...as the lesser ability players look like hacks...
MLB Playoffs...the visitors have won all the games thus far...so much for home field advantage...BTW, how many guys are on the teams during the playoffs?...lordy, there are no seats available...standing room only...
The mighty Trojans...got beat at home to the Dawgs...porous D...and the SoCal peops are calling for the ouster of the HC already!...Sarkasian may be out before the season is over...I thought they had a banner year for recruits...
Speaking of that...the Louisville Hoops Team...where the legendary coach, Rick Pitino, resides...there is a book out, that says his program...well, one of his assistants...ran a deal with the local madam...and provided services for the recruits...hmmm...and that Rick had no idea that it was going on...hmmm...stay tuned to your local bat channel on this...it won't go away...too juicy for the scribes...
Russia has shown it's going to support the regime of Syria...at all costs...and now they have boots on the ground...and Prez O says we are going to suspend our operations there...hmmm...would we be having this conversation if there was no oil there?...
Time for some new music...Selena Gomez has a new CD out...am going to listen to it on iTunes this am...I'll review soon...bad news for her...as she is reported to be battling Lupus...
Tonight we head on out for a concert at Sycuan...Joe Nichols...that facility is awesome...cushy chairs...and this is the bloke who sings, "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off"...outstanding lyrics for a song, don't you think?...BTW, what would you like to drink?...I have some Cuervo for you...
