Playoff Ramifications

You are in the 2nd week of the D-1 college football games...probably not even in league play yet...and your game has PLAYOFF RAMIFICATIONS!...what?...part of getting to the Final 4...is who you play and who you beat...no bigger game on the docket than the Oregon Ducks at the Michigan State Spartans...none...the winner goes big...the loser, has a terrifically rough road...back...both teams lack defensive play...both teams have very good offenses...who misses Mariota?...

The Civil War...the series played on PBS...the stats were deadly...62,000 people lost their lives...and all Americans...back in my school days, I scoffed at history...not so now...find it amazing...this series peaked my interest...prior to any advanced way of killing...the movement of man was the main weapon...thus, the generals, got all the glory...and the horrific blame for all the fatalities...

You have NO IDEA the number of restaurants that are down here in the GQ...we ventured out, away from 5th and found some "new" ones...at least to us...and a great find...was the Blind Burro....terrific Mex food...complete meals for $18...good for here, as it can be spendy...

Watched some taped things...Big Brother...do not understand the vote off of the lesser player of the twins...something had to have happened behind the scenes...The Tonight Show...Jimmy Fallon is a funny dude...duh...and his banter with Carrie was great...way cool stuff...we did not stay up for the Donald on last night's show...dang...and I didn't tape it...

The Beach Condo...the place is almost ready...the ice maker in the refrig has a part to go in this am...and that's it...everything else is done...I have to admit, the place shines...and is worthy, very worthy...the open house is tomorrow...fingers crossed...here's a truth...I'd like to furnish it with stuff we'd like...and use it as a our little getaway...if we were rich...which, as we all know...we are not...pipe dreams...

Coffee...don't get on me for this...I have the perfect coffee maker now...it's true...you know it...and now, I have the perfect coffee beans...what?...yup, I buy the bag at Starbucks...have them grind it...and that's as good as it gets...unless, you do your own roasting...

Serena lost...mild interest here...not a fan of the screaming by most of the players...the emotions rendered are the worst in all of sport, so says me...for crying out loud, act like you've been there before...of course, I'm the dude who can watch 5 straight hours of golf...so, maybe I'm not a good measure of what's what...

The Pads...got shellacked in the Bay Area...with all the extra arms the teams have during the final phase of the season...the extended rosters...there is no reason to leave a bloke out there on the mound when he is getting bombarded...you think that this manager for SD is better than Buddy?...it's a sham and a shame what this team is unloading on us...

Have to go down to the storage area and bring up our suitcases...it's that time...to pack...for the little getaway...to Maui...and I called yesterday...there are still some 1st class upgrades available...won't hold me breath...it's all timing...and luck...we are NOT taking our clubs...gonna rent 'em there...

Alrighty then...time for some grub...and head on over to the beach to meet up with the refrig dude...
