Trouble in Paradise

There is always this concern...when you live in a high rise...that you are dependent on others for making sure there is no FLOODING...ah yes...and the fear became a reality...as the building uses a water based heat pump system...which we personally, just had fixed...and up on the 20th floor...one of the pipes burst!...and the water came down...fortunately for us...it was stopped prior to our floor...like on the 8th or so...however, the water stripped the circuit of the 4 elevators...and the entire building is down to walking the stairs...and we have heat and humidity...so you can imagine...the place is a mess...

Of course, we are in a major rebuild of our kitchen...and we have nothing connected...as today was the day that all was to be resurrected!...nope...not now...and we are talking at least Monday...probably later...pooh...you think we aren't debating the house in North Park?...hmmm....

Well, my esteemed colleague from Orygun, Snooki...gave me the what fors...over and over...after he watched and listened to the speech of the Donald...he took notes...and then unleashed his reply...how Trump can't do what he says he is going to do...ah yes...that Congress would block all of his ideas and thoughts...calm down boy, I just said "I was intrigued"...that's a major step from where I was a month ago...and not personally, but the Repub masses are, too...people want a change...and he certainly is one...that's what I'm saying...you have to be aware...

Hmmm...to use a Seinfeld epsiode...."all I did was hand her the big salad, George"...I'm just the messenger...not the prophet...

The Pads...lost the decider in DC...to a bloke we traded to them...in one of the poorest trades made by the highly questionable GM Preller...our top picks of a couple of years for a brittle OF and a C, who we promptly traded for a journeyman 3B...and the kid, Ross...mowed us down...there you go...and now we are off to the other real bad team in the league, the Phillies...geez, both sides will be loudly booing...ha ha...

You know what is a big deal around here?...Little League Baseball...they have yearly, a very good team from this area...and representing Chula Vista, or Bonita, er Sweet Water...one of them...they got to the semi's...and the peops watch it around here like it's a huge deal...hmmm...a matter of pride...which has to be good, right?...

Get this...the elevators are closed, right...but we had our paper at our door when we awoke...what?..that means that he (she) walked the stairs to get the job done...WOW!...way above and beyond...he (she) will definitely get a tip from moi this year...

To be fair...and balanced...oops, somebody else uses that...the Demos have to crank up their side...so says me...and if it takes the VP to rev up their engines, then so be it...Hillary does not do so...oops, I am sorry...but there is passion needed...look, Snooki, there are those out there that are head over heals over the Donald...regardless of what you say...wait a minute, I was talking the Donkeys...I digress...can Bernie do this?...so far, NO!...

One plus...our AC is now working...!!!...told you it is hot hot hot here right now...this is huge, kids...

BTW, school has started back up here...and so has high school football..and the channel I watch shows the assemblies...it takes me back...fun times...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
