Sports Junkies

The end of June is an interesting time for SPORTS JUNKIES...as there are games galore going on...of course, MLB is a third thru...and the NFL blokes are starting up their summer sessions...the PGA and LPGA are in the midst of the "majors" time...there is World Soccer...and the NBA reconfigures their teams...

The Draft...set up so the worst get better...I dunno, it seems the worst is always the worst...and the choices usually come from Kentucky, Duke, Wisconsin (this time), Ohio St, and one guy from Arizona...and then a whole lot of bigs from Europe...that nobody knows...there you have it...so how about the teams that we follow...

The Trailblazers...oh my...they play just well enough to get a very low draft pick...little help there...and now their best player is opting out of the PNW...Aldridge...rumors abound...LA, SA, and Dallas, the top spots of landing...they just traded Batum...and they have the worst defensive scheme in the league...things are looking bleak for the Rose City...sorry Orygun kids, but it's true...don't blame me...

The Lake Show...probably going to make the biggest moves in all of the league...with the 2nd pick in the draft...will take the Duke C...they need a big...loads of maybes...trade him for the C from Sac...Boogie Cousins...don't...he is an absolute cancer to any team...and look for them to get either Aldridge or Love...or both...and my oh my...Dwaine Wade is a strong maybe...for Kobe's last hurrah...

The Clip Joint...hmmm...they have to keep their big Jordan...who I hope is trying to figure out how to make a FT...and need extreme help in their depth...to be a serious contender...nothing from the draft...they need to make a splash, or the other LA team will get back the crowd...BTW, you see the new uniforms?...turrible...

Golden St...the champs reload...and watch...they'll pick a kid that will fit right into that 2nd unit just fine...in their last of the 1st round choice...

The draft is tonight...and the trading will be prior....I like it...and with the 24th pick...the Portland Trailblazers select...Arvitas Zabonis...what?...still rings in me ears...1986...summer camp lunch...the beginning of the Europeans to be drafted...at the time, it seemed like a joke...

Other stuff...

The escaped convicts...still on the run...and another guard arrested...geez, if you lived around that prison, I'd be a little...wait...a lot concerned...what is going on?...
