Pasture Land

The US Open...day 1...up in Tacoma...geez, I watched a lot of it...the morning guys had it easier...the "greens" were moister...the afternoon?...brutal...and let me be the one that says it...nobody else really will...the course is a disaster...

One of the things that the pixels can do, is improve what the reality is...there is no doctoring for the GREENS!...er, I thought they closed down Battlecreek...I digress...these putting surfaces are the worst that I have seen...the Vets said they had seen stuff like this way back when...well, not now...

Different types of grass just may be the culprit...whatever the reason, it should not be used for a US Open...I can understand the rest of the course...it still is a joke...the slope of the fairways and all...just a huge Q mark as to why...

However, all the players play the same thing...thus, there is no discernible advantage for anyone...perhaps, the long hitters...as the "fairways" are wide...I dunno...

The leaders?...Dustin Johnson and Henrik Stenson...both bombers...played in the am...and their times will be in the afternoon today...we'll see...Lefty had a nice start...as did Jordan...but...guess who played like he's been the past year?...yup, Tiger...an 80...oops...

There were blokes playing at the same time as Woods...who were shooting like 3 or 4 under, i.e., an amateur...and rarely got their strokes on the pixels...nope, Fox, gave us and the whole golf world, each and every blimey stroke of the fallen Tiger...

And, to make matters worth, so many of the "experts" talked about how they hated to watch him play so poorly...well, guys...how about the network quit showing the train wreck...move on to the players who are doing well...too easy a fix...right...

Other stuff...

The Bolts are gone...the city needs to address it...kick 'em out of Qualcom...and be done with it...these  owners deserve LA...er, Carson...

The Charleston shooter is a bad person...and deserves the death penalty...if all that is said is true...wanted to rekindle the Civil War...guns...a root of all evil...

The Pads got one at Oakland...whew...and Murph is no longer a loser...and off to the heat they go...Arizona...why would anyone go there right now?...just kiddin C and L...must wins for SD...wait, how often do I say that?...

The more that is let out about the Cavs...and their demise...makes LeBron look like the biggest jerk in the world, rather than the best player in the world....am I right or am I right?...here, you take him...

Concert out at Humphreys this eve...Brian Wilson...the founder of the Beach Boys...hopefully he has Foskett with him...he's the high voice...I know Al Jardine is in tow...should be a fun evening...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
