TPP
It's a bill that the Senate and the Prez are battling over...very confusing and lengthy...with add ons so it may turn the non-believers into those who do...in essence, it's the Demos who are blocking it...and the Prez wants it...the Demo Prez...
Prez O just last week went to Orygun to meet with Nike officials...that is what they are called, right?...or maybe the CEO and the rest of the brass...AND members of Congress...there, that's better...and discussed some parts of the bill...er, like the bill itself...seems like this has touched a very irritable spot that the only American made shoe company felt...here's the deal...there are so many arteries to this bill, it's near impossible to talk about in a single blog segment...
Age of the workers is a tiny part of it...breaks in taxes is somewhere...would boost global economy, and on and on...get this...
"We need to fundamentally renegotiate American trade agreements so that our largest export doesn't become decent-paying American jobs."...liberal Bernie Sanders...guess what side he is on?...
And so it goes...Asia and Europe are the base of our concerns...as that's where so many of our goods are made...and that's where the foundation of our marketing system lies...you think that this is confusing?...just ask a US Senator...
By the way, if this would pass the Senate, it has NO CHANCE in the House of Reps...let's have another beer...or bourbon...wait, you think that all of our problems stem from abroad?...the price of bourbon is rising...American made...and the reason given?...the demand is bigger, and yet, the distilleries don't have enough barrels...what?...c'mon China, can you please take some of our wood that we have shipped over...and turn some of it into barrels...and then ship them back to Tennessee...so we can have enough of the sweet stuff to drown our sorrows in...
Think about that, Senators!...now, it all makes sense to you...as you blokes and blokettes imbibe more than the average American...and it hits you right where it hurts most...right in your kisser!...

Sports...what a horrible day for the favorites of mine...the Clip Joint mailed in their pathetic effort in Houston...from the get go...and let the Rockets win...sure seemed like it...and the Pads...gave up 4 in the 1st and it was a slaughter in Seattle...we had one bloke come up with the bases loaded twice...early on...and he (sub SS Barmes) came up empty...and the rout was on...and Buddy left our starter out to get hammered...he must have one of them master plans that I don't get...pass me some of that expensive bourbon, please...
Idol...as I feared...the best got knocked out again...the gal, Jax...the girls don't win this show...anymore...this time...two very average guys compete for the champ...and this time...it disgusts me more than ever...there is a reason for this to be canceled...
DWTS...and talk about ridiculous...there are three very good dancers in the event...and one very touching ex-soldier...and the sentimental vote won over...and the Olympian got the heave ho...hey, I have said this forever...they need to list the actual votes by the public...
I'll skip the finals...
What a terrible train wreck in Philly...have yet to hear the reason for it...as you know, we take the Amtrak quite often when traveling to Santa Barbara...should there be concerns?...
Significant weather system coming...well now...it's not like in the PNW...but it does create chaos on these streets...and much needed water...will be here on Friday...the 1st day of the T out at Sycuan...we will play THAT by ear...the actual counting rounds are on the weekend...and the "storm" will have passed...no problem...
And that's the way it is, on this fine day...Wednesday, May 13...is it OK to have some Jack Daniels on my cereal?....I'm out of milk...
