Cubbies In Town

There are just a few teams in the MLB that have the type of nationwide following than the Chicago Cubs have...and they are in town for a 3 spot...you'd think that Petco would be filled with a gaggle of C caps...not so...interesting...maybe the masses have fallen off?...I dunno...

Let's talk about 'em...they are a team of the future...with a very young infield...all of the blokes are 25 or under...and have 2 of the premier hitting stars...with the 1B Rizzo ( our trade) and 3B Bryant (USD) in tow...and some better than average pitchers...well, hang on to your Cubbie paraphernalia...your time is coming...maybe not this season, but very soon, I tell ya...

The Pads got them last eve...in a 4-3 nail biter...took advantage of 3 errors to help set the table for our scores...oh yea...Chi has a very progressive manager, too...am I jealous of the visitor?...you bet I am...but we have what we have...and there is enough here to get to the playoffs...if...we do what we did last night...Buddy small ball...we actually BUNTED!...only had done that 3 TIMES this season...oh my...I digress...maybe Buddy was showing off to his old coaching amigo...as both managers worked on the same staff back with the Angels...

The Bolts...after my lengthy overview of the baggage that this team has, yesterday...the ownership announced that they bought land in Carson...hmmm...what more can I tell you?...interestingly, the cost of the building there is very similar to that of here...BTW, it's a major topic on all news services in SD...they have been a very loved organization...or, at least the team has been...

Takata...you ever heard of this company prior to yesterday?...I figure not...I hadn't...well, it's the one that makes most of the air bags for your cars...and now it has been announced that they may be defective...thus, a massive recall is in the works...it is figured to take years to get them redone...make sure you stay well away from your steering wheel while you drive, kids...

Golden St beat the Rockets...it was a donnybrook...whatever that means...the outside gunners, Curry, Barnes, Thompson, and Livingston...were the difference...sounds like a lawyer firm...and Houston hung around due to the amazing play of the Beard, Hardin...geez, it seem like he travels a lot...but, in slow mo, maybe not...I would double him from the mid 3rd quarter on...not before...

David Letterman...his final show is tonite...I have been taping this week's...and go with the notion that he is in the top of his field...comparable to Johnny Carson, for sure...different...but still so quick and witty...which is so hard to do on a nightly basis...gonna miss him...
