Bad News Bears?

Oh my...what could or should have been...these San Diego Padres...which increasingly seem to be exactly like all of the other Buddy Black managed teams...an effort in futility...underperforming groups of blokes...who find ways of not scoring...and have more excuses of why they can't do the most fundamental thing of all of baseball...from Little League all the way up to MLB...BUNT!...the pitching staff has yet to convert one...count 'em NONE! ...not one successful bunt!!!...and this time around, a new dilemma...the pitching is not good...there's an article in the LA Times, asking what we all ask..."What's Wrong With The Padres?...and rather than beat around the bush, the author throws out stats...unlike what the Trib does...last in OF defense...sporadic starters for P...the top 3 on the staff lead different negative marks...ie, HR's given up, walks, and losses...the scenario is not a cheery one...

Excuses?...well now...the record of the team versus the division is very similar to that of the leaders, the Bums...but the teams that SD has faced outside, have been the better ones...with better than average records...LA has not had the task in front of them like that...they have played the lower bracket of squads...which means what?...a set of games versus the Dodgers begins today...let's just see where this leads...

Is there a shake up in order?...if you read a bunch of the experts out there...the thoughts are that there will be a change in the manager soon...if things don't move in the positive direction...I kind of thought that there would be after the dismal showing against the Cubbies...more of the same up north, and it appears to be inevitable...stay tuned...

NBA...

Nail biters in the west...as the Golden St Warriors did what they are supposed to do...win at home...note that SD...and are up 2-0 on the Rockets...and the set goes to Texas...these are good games...and I tell you, the Beard is tuff tuff tuff...wonder why GS doesn't double him more?...anyway, it's fun to watch...

In the east, it's the Cavs...and in a laugher...surprising me...just don't see the Hawks getting back into it...LeBron is way too dominant...a huge human being...and a very talented hoopster...and leads Cleveland to dominating play...

Hillary has allowed her phone messages to be let out...and of course, the pundits are ravaging through 'em...there are tales out there now...and more to come...can't be good, huh...

How's the car hunting going?...pretty dang good...have settled on a car...the BMW 428i hard top convertible...and now?...need to take the Solara in for a quote...do NOT want to sell it by myself...will lease the rig...and it's all timing now...pretty amazing car...check it out online...

Watched the last Letterman Show...damn funny bloke...and a great show...so says me...
