Stadium Woes

Or should that be wooah!...as the Chargers are nearly out of town...the Mayor's crack task force came up with their plan...and it is in direct opposition to what the owners of the Bolts wanted...their selection was at the present site of the team...in Mission Valley...this was a serious option 8 years ago...but now...the team has a better offer in LA...much better...

Let me be frank about this...the league is a sleazy one...the owners run amok of all rules and regulations...make and break whatever they choose...and one of the biggest ones, is that of what they can make when they get the local cities to make a big and better stadium...and charge excessive amounts of $ for the right to purchase a tix...which is now a common practice even in the college field...so who can afford this?...corporations...and who has the most of them?....

The Charger's owners wanted a premium site in downtown SD...which would be state of the art and combined with a fantastic convention center, would make a huge draw for both the city and themselves...sounds good...problem is...it would take more than 5 years to get the job done...and they have something in place in Carson...already with their city's love and commitment...

Financing...an issue that usually gets back to the general public...who with the price of the right to buy tix, are usually out of the mix...and are upset about having to pay taxes for something they can't use...get it?...and the businesses who "profit" from the team in their area?...are upset with the amount that they would have to pay in...it's complicated...and yet the rich owners want to get richer...

One of the TV stations here has been devoting the morning to the issue...and have had a lot of peops in the know talk...from the Mayor's office to the local radio rag guy...but...no one from the Chargers...they are mum and destined to Bolt...

OK...other stuff...

For some unknown reason, the Pads used a lineup that featured most of the blokes we had here last year...and it was a struggle to score runs...duh...not sure of the reasoning...we have seen that product, Buddy...and it is crappy...NO MORE!...get the new players in and get rid of those old blokes...it doesn't work!...

PDX beat the Rockets....and won that series...this is a good thing...no, a great thing...and the Clip Joint beat the Thunder in Oklahoma...didn't see that coming...hmmm...I dunno...

In the bizarre world of the NFL...where the movement of players has been unprecedented...the Chargers lost their RB Mathews to Chip...hmmm...really?...he's always injured and a fumbleholic....the hot rumor?...the Cowboys RB Murray is meeting with Chip today...it's a weird football world...and I'm not a fan of it all...

SDSU plays UNLV in the MW conference playoffs...problem is...all these games are in Vegas...and it's always nice to play in front of your home crowd...advantage the Rebels...

Think Ferguson is going away?...the Police Chief quit...and there were 2 cops shot last night around the base station...it's a mess...

Looks like a Starbucks's morning...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed...
