St. Paddy's Day

Good morning lads and lassies....it's the time of the Irish...and all us heathens will share on the festivities, right mates?...don't forget to wear something green...as you wouldn't want to get pinched throughout this day, now would ya?...

Have you filled out your Big Dance bracket?...I have given some hints of my pix...and if you think "chalk", then you have figured out mine...which means going with the favs, for you rookies...there will be some upsets on the lower tiers, but do think that the best will emerge...which I am rarely right on...maybe it's better to go by colors...

Lots of pundits don't like the collegiate game...doesn't resemble the pros...no duh...the game itself is in shambles...it has become a drive and dish affair of 3 point shots...by all...and the art of having, and using a big man...is pretty much gone...in the pros...still is used in college...thus, the dominance of Kentucky and Duke...who still play the more conventional way...

There's more to it...many of the best players...er all of them...play gaggles of games in AAU...where it is the run, drive, and shoot the 3...and aren't taught anything about the nuances of the sport...they get that at the better high schools, and most of the colleges...but their length of stay?... one season...you can imagine how they get eaten up by the vets...

Most peops don't play pro ball...and they love to play...the high school game is refreshing and is the time of major input...most of these kids play cuz it's fun...and the last time they get to in organized ways...and this is what they'll remember all their lives...very few move on to college as players...so what the pros want, doesn't come close to fitting the abundance of most players...leave it alone...

You think I wasn't disheartened yesterday?...started double-double-bogey-triple...eegads, a miserable sight I was...8 over after 4...Tigerish...ha ha...

Clear frontrunners on the new version of DWTS...Rumer Willis and the Olympian (duh)...my heart went out to the Vet...one arm and one leg...amazing he could do what he did...

So this day is in remembrance of Saint Patrick, the Apostle of Ireland...credited with bringing Christianity to that country...and somehow...has become a widely celebrated tradition for most of the world...hmmm...well, the Christian part of it...thought that you'd like to know...well...I started early...after my start on the links YESTERDAY...and am paying for it right now...

My Irish eyes are smiling...what does THAT mean?...lordy...
