RV

Something tells me that the journey just may be similar to that of the Clark Griswold's one...the RV...there have been many flix that make light of such a trek...Desi and Luci...Robin Williams...Jennifer Aniston...all had movies about some crazy adventures in a RV...mapping out the trip...where to stay...better at a KOA or a Good Sam site?...making sure you can make it in the timed allotted...in our case, filling up at a diesel pump...are they at most gas stations?...when or when not to use the potty aboard...or shower...fortunately we are renting a Class B...more like the Lexus we normally drive...those big Class C's and A's would pose a problem...at least for both of us driving...we also can park in the street with the one we have...

Supposed to get 22 miles to the gallon...which is better than my SUV...and that is a plus...has all the plush, er required things...TV...generator...fridge...freezer...range...oven...bed...DVD...the list goes on...and we are going to make this happen for 10 nites....so, Orygun, here we come...well, not for 4 months...but the planning stage has begun...any ideas in Northern Cali to stop?...

Having the bad luck of watching someone go down with a busted achilles...I feel the pain of the Blazers' Wes Mathews...as out he goes...takes a full year of rehab...and it hurts the team...of course...such is the plight of that game with all of the running, turning on a dime, and jumping...wonder how it doesn't happen more often...dang...

The Pads are two games into the Cactus Season...and are 0-2...a problem?...nope...these games are just free looks...and are for getting into shape...and figuring who fits...as we get closer to the end of the month...then watch closely...that will be the indicator...right now?...fuggit about it...

Turns out we ended up in 2nd in the Golf T...the winner had only 3 guys on their team....a huge advantage...as 2 of the blokes were good...so they get to rotate a 2nd shot...in lieu of a high handicapper struggling to have to use 3 of his tee balls...HUGE advantage...so I have given the excuse why we didn't win...ha ha...

Every year the golf club makers come out with new versions of their tools...and they are always tabbed as being better than ever...and so...does that mean that what I have been hacking away with, is now an inferior driver?...will I be better with the newbie?...I think I'd be just as good with an old Persimmon Wood #1...when they actually were woods...

Harrison Ford is the topic of the day throughout the pixels...he was piloting a small plane and it went down on takeoff...landed on a nearby golf course in LA...very lucky and skillful act of flying...and he has made it...

With the new snowfall back east...does not surprise me that there are problems with the runways...and that Delta plane in NY's LaGuardia Airport that just stopped in time to avoid dipping into the water...a real fortunate stop...and nobody got seriously injured...

So where are you on this?...Kelly Clarkson just released a new CD...and is barnstorming around the world in promotion... she just had a baby, and is still carrying baby weight...unfortunately for her, in England, there was a female TV interviewer...who laid into her for the extra poundage...

The PGA Tour is now at the Donald's Course in Miami...and it's a no cut affair...the blokes have to love that...watch out for JB Holmes this season...starting fast...he's healthy...and bombs it out there...where is the star of the future, Rory?...still hacking away...

BTW...the cost of a big bottle of Jim Beam...$17 cheaper at Costco than Ralph's...really?...really...something is wrong about that...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
