Game of the Week

You know, the NBA lasts FOREVER...and yet, there was a goodie on last eve...the Cavs and the Spurs...yes, I know you critics,  that I gave San Antonio up for dead about a month ago...sure seemed like it...but Pop can find a way to rest his guys...and get the team ready for the end...which in the league, is ALL THAT COUNTS!...and they are playing great...

Hmmm, are they?...up by 6 within the last 30 seconds...and miss a cinch 1-1 FT...and then allow a couple of 3 point prayers by Kyrie Irving...and the game goes to OT...and Cleve survives it...foul the bloke!...for such a brainiac that everyone gives to Pop, he let that one get away...

Irving...I am flabbergasted by what he did...57 is a ton of points...now, I can see him doing that to PDX, with it's faulty D...but SA does it right...and HE STILL SCORED!...hmmm...he's much quicker than I thought...and makes the Cavs tick...more so than LeBron...really...and what's the deal with Love?...doesn't play in the 4th?...

Will Ferrell...the comedian of SNL originating fame...now all over the map...pulled off a stunt for charity...and played on 10 teams in one day in the Cactus League...he has that subtle humor about him...anyway...was involved in the only run scored in the Pads/Bums game...as he was in RF for SD when the HR was hit over his cabeza...thank goodness it wasn't through him for the winning score...like it makes any diff....good game...Shields went 3 and looked TUFF!...we hit the ball, but right at 'em...OK...

NCAA hoops...conference champ tourneys all over the nation...the winner gets in the Big Dance...and so there is a lot of fervor...fun stuff...SDSU got the Rebs...whew!...today is a beaut for the Pac 12...by the way...over on the other side of the country...watch closely for Maryland...my dark horse pick...

You see the pix of the gator on the green on a Florida golf course?...we've been in that state and seen many around...we ALWAYS do a riding cart...you know, just in case...if you hit a ball in the lake, DON"T try to get it out...

Did not watch Idol last eve...taped it...and have to admit...I'm not as enthused as I used to be...have said this before...do think that the market has over-saturated those "stars" to be...too many of these type of gigs...

Netflix is showing another series...like Bloodline or something like that...you heard of it?...or, is it showing yet?...

The west coast is thriving in heat...it's supposed to be like in the high 80's this weekend...here...has to be crazy hot at Sycuan...will do the riding cart tomorrow...

The PNW journey is set for the reunion...and now we are charting a course...do we join the Good Sam Club?...is it worth the $25?...

The aftermath of the Bolts Task Force?...the city tried real hard to support it's findings...and from the Charger's owners?...still no reply...fuggit about it...they are out the door...

You think that there still isn't racism in this country?...look at Oklahoma, and Mizzou, and on and on...or South Dakota...or...

Chip had a master plan after all...got the RB's from both SD and Dallas...hmmm...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
