Hack a Shaq- Redux

It's the perfect storm...in the NBA...the game is going on and is a good one...change of leads, fast breaks ( a lost art), inside and outside scoring, decent offensive sets being used...in the regular season...hmmm...well, now, it is the Spurs and the Clip Show...

And then POOF!...the legendary coach of San Antone, Pop, decides to change things up and does the momentum and game breaker, Hack a Shaq...well, in this case, it is the Hack a Jordan...the Clip's incredibly poor FT shooter...

This is a method of play (?) where the Spurs immediately grab Jordan wherever he is...and puts him on the FT line...and he usually misses...like a 43% success rate...and the game stalls...horribly...well...did it work?...you can use the tactic until the last 2 minutes...and that's what happened...it turned out to be a 2 minute fray...which LA did win...

It's over and TNT turns to it's analysts...which included the one and only SHAQ!...he's ticked that it's happening...like Deja Vu...shortly thereafter, Coach Pop, is interviewed...and he states that he hates the rule, but if there, he'll use it...

Hmmm...the solution?...of course, get the bloke to make his FT's...I say let Rick Barry come in and teach him the bucket shot...or take him out until the last 2 minutes...or alter the rule, to have any player shoot the shot...or treat it like a Tech, shots and the ball...I know the league will change it...I mean, they allow the inbounding of the ball after a time out at mid court...what say you?...

The Bolts...are bolting...like the rumor of many a year...the owners want a new stadium to put their average product in...not that the city didn't back 'em...they did...in a big way...

Yesterday a plan was unveiled...a modern biggee to be built north of here, in LA, Carson actually...where there would be a shared occupancy...much like the Lakers and Clippers do...this time it would be the Bolts and Raiders...nauseating...of course, many other owner types have done the same thing...it's their tinkertoy...

If a truth...imagine the empty stadium out at the Q in the transition phase...I could see this, if there were apathy for the team...but it's an owner that wants his way...

Guliani...what the hell?...and I backed this guy...he seemed like a decent bloke...in the aftermath of 9/11...what a facade...is he a racist?...or just babbling to be...any which way, a very bad bloke...

Our good friend, Cliffy, rolls into town today...and I think he's bringing the Orygun weather with him...
