Big Stuff

Not really sure what is bigger...the Farmer's or the Padres this morning...so I'll give them equal billing...

Last year, Horse made a bold prediction that the player of the year in the PGA Tour was going to be Jason Day...Aussie...then he banged up his thumb and was out for most of the season...well...HE'S BACK!...as he emerged out of the logjam at the top of the Farmer's...in a  4 man playoff...took the title on the 2nd hole...and voila!...he's the guy to watch out for this year...I thought JB Holmes could have won it outright...and with his length on the par 5 18th, he chose to lay up rather than go for it...parred...and settled in to the 4 way thinger...be who you are, big guy...

The Pads have reportedly won the rights to the top notch pitcher James Shields...a 4 year deal...that puts us on the same level as the hated Bums and the ever efficient SF Giants...our rotation is solid...and gives us the BIG that the others have...ah, I am SO EXCITED for this season...Cris and I are planning a trip to the desert to catch some of the spring ball...imagine the feeling of the blokes that are now, the NEW PADRES!...and all the rest of us fans...looks good in brown, don't you think?...a hope that the Pads wear that color this year...

PDX is rejoicing as their PG, Lillard, finally got a nod to be part of the west squad in the All-Star Game...the Clip Joint's star, Griffin, is going under the knife...which freed up a spot...and the league smartly gave it to the Blazer...he deserved it and that should quiet all those who were crying, "snub!"...

Grammys...you catch this?...Sam Smith won most everything...for a song he ripped off of Tom Petty...hmmm...now if he were a NE Patriot, there would be accusations a flying...a league investigation...a hefty fine...and he would lose a song off his new album to Boy George...who he mightily resembles to this blogger...I digress...

Can you believe there is still legislation dealing with gay marriage?...the latest is the state of 'Bama...who said yes...and the Supreme Court is in deliberation...good lord...the "christian right" (redundant) are the major boisterous deniers...way right?...

Bike ride today over to Coronado...then...Dancing With The Stars Concert...you have to go big or go home to stay up with us...
