Sunday Splash

Hey to everyone out there...how's the morning?...I hear it is great weather in the PNW...64* in January is a real treat...and wonderful news for the PDX Blazers!...Lamarcus Aldridge has decided to tough it out, forego surgery on his left thumb...and play!...

As they took on the Wizards in the newly acclaimed sun belt...by the way, Wash is a solid team...no longer a laughing stock...great PG and some gnarly bigs...anyway...it was on the pixels down here...Portland won it in the latter part of the 4th...making some key shots...and getting some equally important rebounds...LA was solid...BUT...their inept play on the pick and roll continues...and until...and get this...UNTIL it changes, the team is in the 2nd tier...

Our bike ride the other day, included a ferry trip to Coronado Island...one of the great places...ANYWHERE!...where every home on it, is built different...biked all around the land, and ended up at the Hotel Del...and went down and laid on the beach...it was marvelous...this is the one, that has gold in the sand...a MUST stop for anyone visiting...this is where Marilyn Monroe did her beach scene in "Some Like It Hot"...

By the way...the hoops teams out of Corvallis (Oregon) are going gang buster...the gals are ranked in and out of the top ten...and the guys have turned it around and are the sleeper of the league...good on 'em...

The PGA tour is over in the desert...at PGA West...we have played there...and dang if Lefty isn't in the event...not in the top 10 right now...this is the stopover prior to the Farmer's here at Torrey Pines...normally, we will go out a day for the event...hope my son makes it down for this...

Last night was a movie marathon...started with the highly talked about one about North Korea..."The Interview"...what a bloody joke...gave up on it...not our type of humor (?)...and settled on another kind of funny flick, "Anchorman 2"...Will Ferrell...Marsh liked it...I was lukewarm...and gave it a D...for dumb...one line it did make me laugh out loud...when his character said he was only out of the country twice..."I went to Mexico a couple of time and I went to Salem, Oregon"...what?...have you seen this?...

Local hoop action...SDSU lost at Colorado St...shame shame shame...and USD did the unimaginable...beat BYU!...this was a huge win for the program....good for Billy...

Did you see that Iowa is already conducting primary gatherings for the next Prez?...right now, it's the conservatives...good luck...the names bantered about already?...Jeb and Chris Christie...hmmm...

Deflategate...ha ha...Coach Billy B had yet another impromptu press conference...maintains his innocence and ignorance over the situation...is he one of the 40 that the NFL has interviewed?...I say, put him on the lie detector machine...

Had a decent day out at the links...it was 78*...and breezy...so...when I had the wind with me, I had some monster drives...and coasted home with an 85...I had 2 blow up holes...

My query for the day...how can you drop out of home school?...I mean, when you have your mom, Kris, as your teacher...it's the best that you can learn from...right?...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
