Election Day

Probably the most confusing of all the election days, is this one...where we are in the mid year...I guess that's what you call it...the other time...when the masses do not vote for the Prez...but all the other spots that are up for grabs...the Senate majority is in doubt for the Demos...who right now control it...

If you can believe the analysts...which in this arena, I tend to...the Repubs are taking the critical seats back...and will be the party in power...and whoa, the rumor is that the Demos are NOT asking Prez O for help...that he would be a hindrance...dang if that's not odd...

Are we not better off than before he took over?...the stock market is way up...we are not battling the evils on the ground everywhere...the unemployment numbers have bettered...and the gasoline prices have dropped...well, I had to give you something tangible...yet, somehow, the Conservatives have scared the heebie jeebies out of a lot of peops...don't get it...

Thank goodness this day is here...as the revolting attack ads will be quelled for a few years...the $ spent on 'em is legendary...have to admit, it was much worse in Oregon...really....the TV stations must have loved the income...

AND...there are fewer and fewer people reading the written word in a newspaper...more of 'em are getting the news either from the web net or the TV...my guess is that the bulk are tube junkies...so much easier to just turn on the video and veg...not moi...I lurve the paper...but, I don't like the conservative editors...who have to be a dying breed, so to speak...

Which leads me to this...who do you get your voting "guide" from?...used to be the printed word...or from your church...how many peop still go to one?...hmmm...and TV's are reluctant to go to a side...well, FOX, is the exception...there are talk radio blokes...who really are out there...and DO HAVE a following...

How many people actually vote?...less than 50% usually...think about that...all your ups and downs are determined by less than half the masses...hmmm....are you digging this?...it's a reality...so when you get to the point about whether or not to cast yours....get off your rosy red...get to the booth, or stick on a stamp and let YOUR voice be heard...well, your check mark...if you don't, you are letting someone else dictate what is going to happen...

And...at least you get to see the numbers...unlike the reality show voting...just believe us on the results, they say...imagine that for our political votes...I digress...

Well, that's it...if you haven't yet...do so...and let all the voices be heard...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
