The Aftermath

Well, after 12 hours of sleep, I feel pretty dang good...BUT...as we were winding down our whirlwind trip to Orygun, tragedy struck...we were aboard the plane...and there was a call for medical help...seems like a passenger collapsed on the tarmac...out went  people from on board...2 RN's and a Med Doc, who just happened to be on this flight...all the action was mighty close to the entrance to the plane...as we could see the steward's, stewardess'es, and pilot's reactions to what was going on...after about 45 minutes or so, it was announced that the person had died...no bueno...

I did find a way to post from the plane...kind of cool...cost like $10 to get online...and the flight itself was great...somehow, we made up 45 minutes, and landed on time...go figure...

The trip...it was wonderful...luckily staying with our good friends, the Snooks...who took care of us...drove us...fed us...boozed us...laughed with us...all very great stuff...

We went everywhere...blessed with splendid weather...all the way to the Orygun coast...took side trips to all of our old houses we lived in...some were just like when we were there...some were tragically trashed...we had 7 in all...the city itself has changed very little...I suppose the biggest disappointment is how little the downtown has grown...the hub should be much better by now...

Our friends....so cool to see them...Marsh had the opportunity to see way more, cuz it was her reunion...and the cast of 'em all was really good...preservation of time is a real trick, and they mastered it dang well...my old friends, seemed exactly the same...shoot we are all old...and not much change...which IS GOOD!...

The stories...oh my the stories...for sure embellished over time...yet, so funny...too many not fit for print...and it was fun to go back into time...

Probably the tough part, was realizing we probably wouldn't return to that part of the world again...as we got a bit nostalgic as we were driving away...it was a great trip, so it will be entrenched in our brains that way...and a good way for it to be...

We didn't see everyone we'd have liked...just there so short of a time...for that, we are sorry...Marsh works and we had to adjust our time accordingly...and we did not want to overstay our camping at the Snooks...you KNOW how that goes...we DID extend an invite to many to come south to stay with us...and hope that THAT does occur...

One thing that did not happen much...everyone talking about their ailments...it's a fact of life and aging...we wanted to laugh...not feel sorry...knowing that we all have 'em...no dwelling this time around...just having a good time...sweet...

I must say "thanks" to BJ, Tom, Cris, and Leila...they made it possible for us to leave...and take care of our baby, Sammi...it could not have happened any other way...er, our puppy...kind of the same...

And now we get back to our daily grinds....Marsh, to selling homes, er mostly condos...me, back to hacking the golf ball around...and blogging about what is going on in this world from Crazy Horse's mini-mind...thanks for reading....and of course, spread the word...

Peace...
