Congress Reps

I admire somebody who wants to become part of the decision making folk of this country...like running for the House of Reps...taking a bit out of your everyday life and put all your wares in a suitcase and bee bop to DC...and then sit in on all the inside poop that comes your way...and, then, without any outside intervention, cast a vote that may affect the masses for some time to come...

Satire?...not necessarily so...me thinks that most peops go into the job thinking just that way...until the idea of $ to get reelected comes up...as it is a very coveted spot...right?...thus the appearance of the lobbyists...and the lack of influence then changes...well...nowadays, that happens prior to being elected...as it is so costly to run for the position...

In this area, we have a brouhaha going...as the Repubs, and their major faction, the Tea Party, are endorsing Carl Demaio....against the incumbent, Demo Scott Peters...one comes from $, and the other needs it...hmmm...and the TV attack ads are abundant...which is the $ thinger....why is that there is very little about what "I can do for you", rather than "what the other bloke did"...and why not him...it must work...as that is the wave of politics...

I still am betwixt about the Repubs...are they not a split faction?...the Tea Peops want to dominate, yet they need the conservatives to win...and the Demos...remember when it was the site of the union faithful?...whatever happened to unions?...are they gone?...

Alright, this is a toss up...and the papers (remember the printed source?)...are split on their endorsements...well, the editors...who used to be influential...and I do say "used to be"...it's now down to how the TV peops design the candidates...a minor slip up and the edge may just be the ticket...

Where does Crazy Horse stand?...well now...it would be easy to just go party lines and be done with it...not so...as I will continue to monitor and then figure it out...too soon, kids...

Other stuff...

NFL...Seattle methodically whipped the REDSKINS...and why are they still called that?...I'm not going crazy on the issue, but enough is enough....by the way, the Wash owner is a real piece of work...

Ah yes, the Cards got game number 3 versus the Bums...and the hot hitting LA dude, Matt Kemp...blamed the umpire...OK...

DWTS...just downright booooring anymore...where are the stars?...and please, the annoying Erin Andrews...replace her...

I putted like a blacksmith yesterday....if I could have two putted I would have been in the low 80's...not so...

When is the last time that in the top 4 in the AP poll, could you find two teams from Mississippi?...D-1 football...

Iraq is a mess...just like we thought it would be...

The Bolts are at the downtrodden Raiders this weekend...always fear that match...even though Oakland is in disarray...we are a bit beat up...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
