9/11

I would listen to my mom tell stories about the attack on Pearl Harbor...the beginning of WWII for the US...and cringe to think that awful thing could happen to us...and would have nightmares as a little guy...about bombs dropping...weird, huh...and then...it happened...9/11/01...

We dropped off Cris at Pomona College and were staying in Sunriver for a week...or so we thought...and were scheduled to fly out to Maui the next week...as I was drinking some coffee, the news went to this horrifying tale of a plane crashing into a skyscraper in NYC...then another...OMG!, we were under attack!...

We had just been in the City the week before...only time that we had...as Cris was looking at Dentist Schools...just so happened we had taken a harbor cruise and I took pix of the city...later on I would go thru the camera and see the twin towers...which I eventually made a photo and framed...

How did such a colossal blunder happen?...the evil found a way to penetrate us...and our system of defense was put to the defense and we failed...revision was necessary...and woke us up...

In the aftermath, we wanted to strike back...the problem was and is...the evil people are not from a country, but are scabs living and hiding in different parts of the world...and retribution was very difficult...who we attacked is up for debate...but we did get the monster eventually...

The people who gave their lives for this, we shall never forget about...and the act, too, will never be forgotten...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
