The Look

Morning kids...have some free time...and well, it's a good thing...for right now...my topic for the day is...THE LOOK...what?...we all strive for it...you know...clean up...work out (?)...eat right...shave...cleanse...color the hair...botox...a little nip and tuck...a nose job or two...get bigger boobs...get bigger arses...straighten the teeth...get teeth...tan...fake tan...well, you got it...the list goes on and on...

It's like we want to look our best...or is it that we want to look like someone else?...back in the day, there were mags that emphasized the pretty peops...LOOK, Life, Photoplay, and now, People, US, and on and on...and what THEY were wearing and how they dooded themselves up...well, that's what the public did too...if they gal wore a flip, so did you...if she cut it short and bobbed it, so did you...

For the guys...mostly it was the facial hair...beard or no beard...toupee or no toupee...but it was the clothes...tab collar...then no collar (Nehru)...then a cool T...OK, you get the drift...

However, now the LOOK has gone off the charts...take the K fam...as that's what they do...get looked at...no other measurable talents to be had...saw a documentary about Paps...(paparazzi)...and how they get their $...taking pix of the pretty peops...and the idea that the K fam will split the money with the blokes who get their photo published....ANYWHERE...and notify the Paps when they are going to be somewhere...

Can you imagine what they are going to look like in 10 years?...the lines, the sagging, the implants...what the heck?...nothing moves...eegads...I digress...

So what do you do?...probably a bit of the above...maybe more of it...your LOOK, is the best that you can make of it...as we age (!), it becomes harder and harder...me?...I am always changing...like to...wear different specs...no specs...dye the hair platinum (M hates this)...beard...no beard...

Other more intriguing things...er, the rest of the world's stuff...

The British Open has begun...Rory is fast out of the gate...-6 and leading...hmmm, Tiger is at -3 and the rest of the players are saying "oh crap"...my long shot, Molinari is at -4...well...Lefty is yet to tee off...it's on right now on ESPN...

Egypt has tried to mediate between the Hamas and Israel...Hamas says no way...I am befuddled by that...a death wish?...it's back on...

I WILL get the PP's for the opening day at Del Mar...this am...and try to handicap...normally a very tough day...do NOT wager too much...keep is simple...

The stock market still in a frenzy...and I still have no clue...and almost NOBODY I talk too, does either...except our money man...geez, I hope he's right...

I think I am due for another set of irons...need newer technology...one that swings the club for you...and adds like 10 yards...and hit 'em straighter...wait, it can't be the swinger, can it?...

Included in tonight's show is Mitch Ryder...and some bloke from the Grand Funk Railroad...what?...Flo and Eddie, too...which were the backbone of the Turtles...is that proper grammar?...
